Illegitimate waymarkers for P7s

Does anybody even know how long the account suspension was? For all we know (as of right now until that info is given) they got suspended for 24 hours.

That's not what that says. The thing being implemented later is the arena being bigger so markers can be placed where they currently only can via this 3rd park hack.

They are not implementing a tool that let's you place markers on thin air.

Nor do markers get deleted when the ground vanishes. They would remain, you just can place them where ground is not, even if it shows up later.

So I saw on youtube about some illegitimate waymarkers. It's funny how SE will use it down the road but ban the person. That is called being a hypocrite SE.

"Being a hypocrite" would be selectively and arbitrarily deciding to just not enforce ToS.

Yet again here we go players outsmart Yoshi P and the devs that they could think of but don't do. Sorry this game needs things that strengthen it. Gshade to enhance the colors and graphics because without it the game is so washed out and ugly. UI is a total crap fest and ancient. Character customization is very lackluster. Lost ark has a better character customization. So tell me again why people use 3rd party tools mostly? To enhance the gaming experience. Yoshi needs to come down a bit and realize you got a old game on a old program that needs new things or this will not last 10 more years with all the aging structure it has and you know I am right. Even have DPS meters so people can get better and learn jobs better. Even job balancing is bad in this game. I wish people would wake up and see the flaws that need to fix instead of putting sugar over it and pretending it's fine

Most people use Gshade to over saturate the game. Colors are fine if you have things properly set up lol.

UI is also fine. Most pictures of ui mods I've seen look God awful.

they didnt even say "account suspension" iirc but "account penalty" which can anything from a caution, over a warning to a permament termination(wording makes the later unlikely)

This issue reminds me of Apple making it impossible to change your battery (P7S) while other manufacturers let you do so at your leasure (Any other fight).

Don't blame players for working around unreasonable design when that design could have been made differently from the start.

I don't think even the devs are actually blaming folks for wanting to make the waymarkers; they've acknowledged it was a poor choice on their part to have the arena grow after the fight is underway, for precisely this reason.

From everything they've said, it's not "you made illegitimate waymarks" that's the issue; the waymarks are the side-effect, the evidence. The person wasn't given a time-out due to making the waymarks, but rather due to the fact that making those waymarks was taken as proof they were in fact modding the game.

That may seem like a subtle/minor difference -- either way they're getting a time-out -- but it's really not, at least from a ToS enforcement standpoint.

I get it that they had to punish that one person for blatantly cheating. But I heard from two PFs I've been in that if you stream yourself setting up these "illegitimate" waymarks, people can report you for it, even if you simply copied them from people spreading them around.

Nope. SQEX has outright said they will not take action against people for having or using the waymarks. People can sure report you for it, but SQEX has already said -- on the official blog, no less -- that they will ignore said reports.

(Now, if you stream yourself setting up the waymarks using a mod that maintains a waymark library or something, they can sure report you for that.)
