...what amount? Would you please stop talking out of your arse for once...? Apart from situations people have pointed one thing and then got promptly ignored, this is what the general overview is for these races:

- Allocate time and resources to finish these races in the future. We're not expecting an overnight change, but at some point in the future.
"Define 'finish the race' please": certainly! I'm talking about how Hrothgars were promised unique hairstyles due to how their faces would not serve to accomodate their hairs. I'm talking about how we still have hairstyles locked to specific faces. If it's unatenable to make unique stuff, then form a selection of hairstyles that do fit us and aren't ports from hairstyles given to Vieras instead.
- Adjust more headgear to fit our heads. We understand, as we've said as much in other threads, that it would be a serious undertaking. But it's a natural undertaking once you've committed to implementing these races. We're not asking for things to fit us perfectly; Au Ra and Miqo'te don't have that, why would we? But they at least CAN wear headgear, so what seems to be the problem? "Clipping is an issue", yes, and we've made it abundantly clear in our threads that it's only YOUR paranoia at work there, Square Enix. It does not come from us. BOSSES in this game clip through their own models. We clip through animations in cutscenes all the time! Clipping is a part of the game, and while it would throw some people off to have garish clipping, it isn't a guarantee that it will be applied across every piece. Not to mention the double-standard set up when Miqo'te have stuff adjusted for their ears, yet Hrothgar and Viera can't have stuff adjusted for theirs.
- On that note, don't pick stuff blindly. Because Hrothgar feedback should not be lumped with Viera feedback, we're two different races and player groups.
- Don't cut out our racial traits. Au Ra horns clip through things. Miqo'te tails clip through things. It's fine for Viera ears to clip, we just pretend there are holes. We don't need justifications for everything: it's a 3D videogame with outdated graphics, it's fine.
- Please show transparency and don't resort to lies. Don't chop ears and tell us "it's too hard" after, when amateurs have done your job for you in a single week while streaming it. Especially when one of the things you had to do was flip a boolean value.

Everything else? Esoteric. Stuff like Viera feet, for example, would be great, but odds are Square's going to stick to that one 100%, and thus isn't feasible to ask for.
If anything, as you see there, no one is disrespecting the devs, if anything we understand that it takes work. But that's their job, not ours, and it's their commitment after deciding to go through with two new races. I'm not "speaking for the others". I'm saying what I see in those threads, often after loads of discussion on the topic.

It LOOKS like a lot, but actually read carefully for once in your life. A lot of it is interwoven, I just split ideas into their smaller components. None of which are "asking for too much". And when it IS too much, read again: WE'RE WILLING TO WAIT. We just want communication.

I interacted in maybe one thread, said my piece and left. It's long forgotten. I can only keep track of so much.

Hate to say it, but beggars can't be choosers. They didn't even want to make these races, but were pressured into it. Now, it's a slow process of getting all that to be compatible with gear.

Also, Lalas are the ones with the broken animations.




I didn't test all of the emotes (there are a lot), but this affects joy, dance, happy, examine self, huh, pantomime, spectacles, welcome, wave, moogle dance, and probably more.

Releasing them separately with each new expansion. Which would have been Shadowbringers and then Endwalker.

This is a mistake of their own doing, pressure or not. And the devs have no one to blame but themselves for all the extra work they have to put into these two races now. Again, something that could have been resolved by releasing them separately with each new expansion, like they did with the Au'ra back in HW

I disagree. The mistake the devs made was not releasing both female Hrothgar and female Viera as playable options first, and then releasing the males as playable options later. One only has to look at the popularity of fem Viera compared to male Viera, and the outcry over the delay in getting fem Hrothgar, to realize this.

Your Au Ra example is indeed informative: the male and female models there are so different, they could have just as well been different races.

Something about the hood seems off. It looks unfinished, even. Also, separate gloves from the top would have made me consider buying it. C'est la vie.

I'd say it's because the hood doesn't reach down to the chest piece like other hoods do.

Ya got me. A slight error on a subject I frankly have little interest in. I interacted in maybe one thread, said my piece and left. It's long forgotten. I can only keep track of so much.

I know the announcement is out there in the LL section detailing their plans for the new races... It took them 3 years to get to this point. Don't expect any rush in progress. I think the separate hood was even made to accommodate said races.


I see AAA and small indie mentioned so much. I'm told I'm making excuses while people are making a ridiculous amount of requests and having super high expectations. Every place has their limits.

"My super high expectations" for the races were for them to have comparable customization options to every other race in the game. Shocking. Insurmountable, even.

Now I don't even expect them to make anything look actually good on them lmao
Like what kind of asinine decision was cutting off Hrothgar ears in every hairstyle? I'm glad they fixed them, but both of these races have been a soup of bizarre design decisions from the start.

Every place has their limits, and SE apparently either lost sight of theirs or set the bar super low.

And I'm in the camp of I'm actually glad this hood cuts Viera ears off, if only because the double set of ears looks stupid (in the same way Miqo wearing the fox ear headband looks stupid, imo). I DO NOT like the increasing trend of cutting off racial features, to be clear, this is just one of the few cases where I'm more likely to actually use the hat because they did.

When it goes on sale for a less stupid price, ofc.

I'd prefer it, if instead of bundling everything together, like this new pricing model, they would instead sell pieces like this separately, of course it won't happen though. The only thing I'd want from this most recent set are the shorts.

I'd prefer an ala cart purchase model as well.
