I feel your pain. I've been struggling with Storm's Crown groups as well. People running into my (healer) clock spot. My co-heal getting wrecked way too much. One forgot about about Liturgy of the Bell. I reminded them... "oh yeah lol. I only play sage".

Enrage groups are a lie. Farm groups are a lie. I see a couple of solo heal runs advertised. I have so much doubt for that.

I'm dreading the reset for Sephirot.

Now that was something. Eighth circle clear LAST MINUTE. Been putting off doing it all week (I haven't bothered too much with the other raids either), but saw the time!

Asked the party if someone who knows the mechanics could mark themselves, since I have only done it twice (!).. nobody replied.. but I just chose to follow some person around that seemed like they knew where to stand - and they did. Fairly clean clear, and I got a drop.

Heroes' Gauntlet as WAR, a WHM with lv90 gear that still uses Cure 1, oh well, whatever.
The most annoying part is getting rescue by the end of the pull before the final boss because apparently wall to wall means i have to bring the mobs at the end of the map.. but the worst part is the 3 mobs only spawn once you clear the first trash so there was no reason to waste time on bringing them at the bridge (and the whole group was there waiting with no new enemy).

This kind of stuff is annoying, it sometimes happens in Venaspati as well after the 1st boss, only 3 adds with a wall but sometimes they want me to pull until there

Last night (or was it 2 days ago?) Expert Roulette: Fell Court of Troia, as a DRK.

Had a SMN who complimented me for always pulling mobs into their Slipstream persistent AoE. Finished the duty super fast and got out with 3 comms. If I felt really talkative, I would had the urge try ask:”My comrade in Hydaelyn, what sort of monster that hurt you that you felt the need to thank me every single time I pull things into your AoE?”

The tanks that don't pull things in slipstreams. Those monsters lol.

But yeah, this is why it pays to play other jobs. Even if they're not your favorite, you can learn how it relates (or not) to yours, so you can be more flexible and thus, everyone wins.

To the raid last night that tried to blame all of us tanks in Orbonne for Thunder Slash killing off about half the alliance:

I was on the side, had turned my tank stance off after getting enough aggro so the sam in our party didn't go squish if the other two tanks died. My little mob bubble was green, however I could see her flipping between the DRK at the front with their stance on and the DRK next to me in A that had their stance on.

She chose the DRK in A to slap, who was next to me. Along with 14 other people.

It is not my fault y'all stood next to me. It is not my fault you didn't look and move. It is not my fault that I wanted to be a good tank and let the other two DRK tanks swank their e-peen around for all to see and try to be the main tank.

However saying 'the girls are fighting for aggro' and a few other derogatory things makes me NOT want to tank and just let the boss fly around to do her thing. I don't like getting blamed for things I didn't do.

You have eyes, please use them.

I got Stone Vigil in my leveling roulette with a WAR, MNK, and AST. AST was on-level and watching cutscenes, clearly the first time they'd been here. Of course the tank didn't care. She ran off and pulled everything to the barracks--a standard but fairly large pull--and our healer couldn't keep up. So we wiped. Okay, fine, no biggie, it happens. Next time we just go slower, right? In fact, MNK even says as much: "healer seems new, maybe try smaller pulls for now"

Nope. WAR: "i do that pull all the time with no issues but ok whatever" (also worth noting that WAR didn't Holmgang, either)

MNK: "ast doesn't have good burst heals yet at 41"

And so we pull again, and with half of the stuff already dead from the first go, barracks is a breeze this time. Except WAR runs off immediately for the next (big) pull all the way to the barbican. AST is a bit behind, loses us around the corner, and then gets lost looking in the side chambers, while WAR is getting testy in chat: "where the f*** are you healer" and "can you not even do your job" and "fine just wipe us all again why don't you." They die (still no Holmgang, btw) and MNK and I clean up while AST finally joins us.

MNK chimes in: "dude they're a sprout and got lost chill out"

Then I say: "you also ran off quick and pulled big without checking they were with you" (I'll admit, deescalation isn't my forte...) MNK says they agree with me.

WAR: "braindead healers can't even keep up now ok"

Then AST leaves, and I don't blame them. We get a new healer in just as MNK says: "please don't harass sprouts, WAR"

Icing on the cake, WAR decided to RP walk pulls after the first boss, saying "gotta make sure everyone keeps up, apparently"

By the time the first loot roll timed out, we were basically at the end so it wouldn't have been worthwhile to vote kick, but wow was I tempted.

I get it, it can be frustrating to have an inexperienced healer/player on your team. But how hard it is to be kind and patient with sprouts??

I've been around on and off since 1.x, and let me tell you, I still get lost sometimes in an ARR dungeon when I haven't been into it in a while. It's nowhere near like what stuff was in 1.x, but some of the ARR ones are still borderline labyrinthine.

Huge yikes. I mostly tank and dps for this very reason, tbh. I haven't healed outside of trusts in a long time.

People not having patience with new people in ARR content is annoying plus sprouts will feel lost in ARR dungeons, my first experience as a tank in Dzemael Darkhold was awful because my healer kept pulling everything for me while i was so confused of what was going on.

Would have kicked just to get that stress out.
