If you had read the OP you would have seen that there is more to it than that.
Of all the characters and archetypes that should be included moving forward, another Sharlayan scholar should have been the absolute last thing they should've considered. I can think of a number of different sorts of healers that would bring more to the otherwise lackluster cast:
- A male Roegadyn marine who fights as a scholar using advanced military arts, with a grand and rough around the edges personality who enjoys drinking and gambling. With a dominant and unyielding demeanor, he puts individuals like Y'shtola in their rightful place when they begin to act out of turn or unjustly haughty.
- A female Au Ra shamaness from the far east who is deeply devoted to her religious practices and is torn between her love of her people and the world beyond the Ruby Sea. Seeing the world with fresh eyes, she forms a deep connection with the people she encounters and tries to be friendly, mediating between any rivalries between the party.
- A female Hrothgar priestess who was sent forth from her temple to assist the party, following the fate foretold to her by the stars in order to safeguard her people's future. Despite knowing that she may have to perform the ultimate sacrifice, she marches forward toward her fate with unflinching conviction, with her truest feelings being those of deep affection for her travelling companions.
- A male Viera necromancer who pursues the dark arts in an attempt to bring back the loved ones he has lost to war, plague, or both. With a standoffish and melancholy personality, he slowly comes to terms with his loss and despite his inability to fully restore them to their original state, their spirits never fail to answer his call in battle.
But sure, the lalafell from Sharlayan is so much better to add. I don't trust them at present to devote the animation resources to showcasing anything of her past that would make her more interesting, nor do I believe she will serve as anything but a continued reminder of how much Hydaelyn allegedly loved the player character. The misuse of resources that we witnessed in Endwalker must be called out if we are to see them redirected to issues of greater importance to the story as well as numerous other game features where they would be better spent.
