Considering he spent so long stranded in another world, fighting an apocalypse, literally dying to come back, then fighting another apocalypse, isn't he allowed to just want something simple?

Oh, right, I forgot. Doesn't matter what the characters did in previous stories or expansions, they didn't suffer enough in Endwalker, so they're all bad.

And once again my statements are misrepresented by other posters in an attempt to make my positions seem outside the realm of normal. As I have said before:

If the main characters in each season of a TV show can all have development over the course of the episodes, then it also isn't unreasonable to ask the same of FFXIV.

There should not be any further debates as to the merits of this statement. No one here would willingly watch a TV show where a main character doesn’t really do much of anything for a whole season, or if they did they’d rightfully criticize such story choices. All the Scions really did in Endwalker was bounce from win to win to gizmo to win, with the collateral damage being suffered by everyone that wasn’t them.

This isn’t what those of us who like dramatic fantasy stories want to see. There have to be stakes and things to get us interested in the characters and their goals, which should definitely be fleshed out and compelling. G’raha Tia’s goals are about as as interesting and well developed as those of Zenos were. Which is to say, his fans will likely excuse such simplistic goals but everyone else is left wanting for something more.

Pair this with a character that isn’t inherently interesting like Krile, and their position in the plot is quite open for scrutinizing.

Funny story, really..... I FORGOT the burger scene..... It IS rather forgettable, after all.
It's rather ironically the Fora Knights here that keep making me recall it, not Aveyond. Y'all bring it up more often than they do. ;3

Plus it would be a good way to help her Shine and stand out as a Lead role for 7.0 to have her Tote the New Job

He GOT popular? He was popular for a long time because of the CT storyline. People loved him long before 5.0 even released.

Why does he need a reason other than wanting to go on an adventure? That can, you know, create reasons for him to be around. He can go through new growth. You guys are really just stuck on hating him for some reason. I'm not even a fan of his, but I never found him annoying.

I mean, at least when I started playing, not many people had CT unlocked, and those who did wouldn't really talk about the story as much as they would Alexander, Binding Coils, the Triad, even Edda Pureheart was more popular than he was. I don't remeber G'raha having fans prior to being the Exarch. There was no discourse around him.

Also "hating him for no reason", saying his story should have ended in 5.3, and since has had a weird behaviour, isn't hating. It's true. The story of the Exarch ended at 5.3. We "revived" the Exarch here in the Source, but since then he's not done anything in the plot that others couldn't do save for the Radz moment, and that was just him relying on past experiences. He had no growth, bc there's nothing TO grow. Burger scene on its own? Fine. Tailgasm scene on its own? Fine. Heart eyes scene on his own? Fine. But when you lump everything together again and again, it becomes weird.

It's not "hate" if we're pointing stuff that either has flaws or feels weird.

As for whether or not he should die... eh, debateable. But he really needed closure.

I want to say Fora Knight is shorthand for Forge Ahead Knights. Which by now can be seen as a meme and sarcasm. It's aimed at anyone who didn't have as big of gripes about EW's story or (Please shoot me for the mention.) about what little of the sundering we get in the post Elpis CS. And how certain characters aren't allowed from their PoV to deal with their loss. Even though it's been agreed on that wallowing in melancholy or grief is a bad thing. Yet an older debate point some they brought up that not everyone deals with grief ect the same way. Which is true, but again extremes are the only things allowed. Besides cherry picking and word twisting.

That...makes no sense then, because I never in my time here have ever defended the story or its 'Messaging'
Ive stated that I enjoyed it very much, but I mentioned that it also has its flaws. So calling me a Fora Knight (if thats what it actually means) at any capacity is false.
But hey, gotta love these Forums XD

Zero: This one's up in the air, really. We don't know to what extent she'll be of value to the MSQ, what will come of the Thirteenth after we defeat Golbez, and what type of role she'll serve after that. It's entirely possible that she might decide to travel with us to learn more about us as a "friend" given her fixation on Zenos' view of us. She seems interesting thus far and would offer some nice contrast in comparison to our current party. Also, no white hair.

Or, which i think is far more likely, she will either choose to stay..or find she CANT leave for "reasons"...lets not dismiss the possibility that she wont want to travel, and will want to stay in her own reflection, maybe to help change things or out of loyalty to her own domain. Think "Youve done a great job, but its up to us to see it to the finish, goodbye".

Its a possible outcome.
