Sure, but MAN you guys just lose your manners when it comes to him :T
I don't need to agree with other people in the forums to call them out. Usually I try to reason with them, but when they just refuse to think, then yeah. I call them out on it and move on. I likely forgot who the person is by the end of the week, and if I don't, I'll just ignore whatever crap happened and listen to them bc sometimes they might actually have better ideas.
Besides, people make mistakes. Just somewhere else on the forums I forgot Galuf dies, and I've played through the vast majority of the franchise thus far xD
I agree that this thread's fixation with Krile's clothes are weird. Regardless of whether it's inspired by Devout or not, it's still Krile's clothes from FF5. Devout only serves to show one thing: that the design isn't unique to FF5, and likely served as inspiration past it. If Square decided to sell such an outfit, a generalized name for it would be "Devout Robe" and not "Krile's Robe". Likely "Devout Robe" would be dyeable, thus enabling you to paint it yellow and get to "Krile's Robe". It's not as unique as the Lionheart Set or Yuna's Summoner gowns.
Not trying to act smug here, but I do think it is a recolour of Devout's robes. Or, rather, a redesign.
Because what happened to FF3 and FF5 is that the console changed. Had it not changed, it'd be a recolour, but no, it changed, and because of that the sprite had to be redone.
So it's Krile's Sprite, it's Krile's robes... but the design comes from FF3's Devout. Likely because it was a cute design for it given that Krile is meant to be a child.
This is like saying "Oh the stuff you get from the previous tomestone set isn't Rydia's outfit, it's caster robes that just happen to resemble Rydia's outfit". Yes, it's Krile's clothes, but it has a precedence in FF3's design for Devout.
seriously, is it so hard to admit both parties are right from different points of view??
