Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

...daft question. The answer is likely no. But I'd like to ask what you guys think of it regardless.

Do you think that when they include and properly introduce Female Hrothgar, given that Misija Votyasch is a Hrothgar name and not a Roegadyn name, they will retcon Misija and her ancestor Queen Gunnhildr into Female Hrothgar models?

They had no such design in store back when they made them. And we know from the NPCs within Gangos itself that Hyurs and Roegadyn retain their traditional nomenclature. It doesn't make them any less Bozjan. So why would Misija be so jarring and be a clear inconsistent aspect of their story? It shouldn't be much different to program a different model for Misija and the Queen. It's no different than what they do for us; how do you think animations stay the same in cutscenes regardless of whether we're Roegadyn, Au Ra, Lalafell or Viera?

No offence to Roegadyn in general either. It's just that it's too jarring to have a character with a clearly Hrothgar name, with such an importance to our lore, be portrayed as a Female Roegadyn simply out of what we assume to be a lack of models at the time she was released. Who knows, maybe even you Roegadyn players would enjoy not having yet another display of villainy from your race... Memorable displays of heroism among Roegadyn seems to be limited to a dead character in one patch and Gosetsu.

As neat as this would be, I doubt it. I think Misija's name was purposely misleading in order to hint that something else might be going on with her. Since she is a descendant of the Queen and is outspoken in the MSQ that this is a family secret. I think it was used more to hint at her being more than she seems.
Then again, I would love to see a female Hrothgar appear in the story, but Bozja is a done story and content. So I might suggest making a new story and putting a female Hrothgar as an important NPC (and maybe this time we won't see yet another widow-depressed male in the story). I just want some happiness for my boys, they deserve it. And a loving and supporting relationship would be nice.

I think there is a good way for it to still work if they changed her to Hrothgar.
Since there are two versions of Hrothgar in lore, although it's *really* not used at all in game. But the Helios are supposed to be the ones loyal to the queen. And the Lost who are nomadic and thus don't have lives centered around the queen.
So. theoretically, having her be a Lost Hrothgar would still keep the 'twist' intact. The Lost Queen even has a nice ring to it.
Unfortunately the idea falls apart because like with every other bit of race lore, they ignored lore entirely! and made every Hrothgar member of the resistance team Lost except for 4 members. smh. why do they Always do this??

What other models have been edited? I can't think of any? or do you mean old content being edited in a different way?

(If they were to edit older models I have Such a List! Haha. Starting with Loonh Gah needing Paglth'an armor to match her Amalj'aa fam.)

I personally would really loath if the first ladygar in existence was a worthless bitch serving a shithole racist empire who betrayed bozja for people who've been oppressing them for 50 years (in the second misija report she herself states Garlemald has imposed its will on bozja for half a century...yet she blames her shit childhood on bozjans...makes sense Matsuno you dumb hack).

The first femgar should instead be a sharlayan scholar Graha has a crush on so every miqote players loses their shit just like they did over runashtola lmao.

If youve levelled summoner post-EW Ymhitra says the Bozjan Resistence found Allagan Ruins (yawn) so that could be a future Variant Dungeon wherein like Nanamo in Sildih, a hrothgar traverses its depths with us. Since no female hrothgar had the stones to fight garlemald (love that attention to detail in the bozja story seriously where tf were they?!) I assume they're dainty little researchers.

I found Misija's story interesting. It was a story of how good people can get blinded by their hatred and fail to see the efforts of others toward a better future. Misija was abused by both the system and peers and her escape was literally the empire that saw her as an equal and gave her the opportunities that she wouldn't have had otherwise. From her perspective the Empire was oppressive, but it was a necessary evil in a way. Putting a different light on her. If you had to choose between your tormentor and a strict regime which would you choose? Both options suck, but one of them sucks less. That is why I wouldn't want her to be a Female Hrothgar, it would muddle the story and lessen the impact.

If this were to happen I would die of laughter XD. But honestly, I would rather have a Female Hrothgar be in a loving and supportive relationship rather than G'raha's love interest. She could serve the same role as Krile did in HW for Alphinaud, being the person who took G'raha in to become a citizen of Sharlyan and later a student.

Honestly, I don't know. They probably went to a different school during the invasion or something. I find it so annoying that we get everything but a female Hrothgar, not even a passing mention. I would have appreciated it if in one of the cutscenes we saw Bajsaljen talk through the linkpearl to the leader of an all-female Hrothgar squad that was on another front keeping the outposts. Anything to suggest that they are also involved. But that would be too much wishful thinking.

And her story was not interesting because it was just a shit rehash of Fordolas story, and she took focus off the hrothgar. Why were hrothgar even the native race of Bozja when the story about Bozja gives them 0 screentime or shit to do beyond being cannonfodder, honestly the Bozja story was transparently the devs saying "we need hrothgar players to know just how much we hate them. no no not making even 1 femgar model isnt good enough kill em all and make the story all about some shit Eorzean races for the millionth time".

Yeah, you could see it that way. Misija was complicated. Definitely a villain for all she had done, but she did have a reason, not a good one (I am tired of the bad and harmful trope of the abused becomes abuser since that happens to like less than 20% of the abuse victims and it's a period of healing from the abuse in which you might act more aggressive towards others, but that is another discussion entirely).

The Bozjan story was weak. It had bad narratives, the interesting characters were sidelined and the Villans were 3 angy people with issues. Somehow we learn more about the Viera Lilja than we do about any of the Hrothgar, even the leader got less development than Lilja and Makoto. The leader should have been the one who should have taken the most active role and yet he was sidelined.

And this was a trend through Shadowbringers, all Hrothgars that we meet with the exception of 2 (Runar and Bragi) are depressed the rest are either in pain from losing all their loved ones or are in war or have been tortured. The Hrothgars in the game have been treated badly and I just wish something nice would happen to them already.

Back on topic: If they will add some female Hrothgar NPC I hope they will be taking an active role in the story and be interesting. I would like them to be given the same amount of importance as Yugiri and Fran were given in their narrative introductions.

God I hope they dont tokenize the first femgar like they did Erenville. She doesnt have to be a scion but give her actual shit to do. Yugiri rules because SHE gave yanxians conviction to fight back, SHE asked us "hey dyou just wanna get this shit over with and kill Zenos already" like yes ofc he sucks lets knife his throat gurl! (we fail sadly but props for having initiative unlike every other slag in the narrative)
