must be heavensward again, lol
This is an incredibly fun tier.
I'm giving Square one more tier to get the balance situation straight, or I'll probably just stop raiding seriously in this game. It's important to me to be able to raid effectively on my favorite job. As it stands, parties are still locking it out in week 2. The situation is officially worse than p4s.
I think the problem is when balance takes precedence over uniqueness. We get boring classes that play out the same!Source
TL : DR - Job balance is being hurt by 2 minute burst windows and leaves little room for optimization.

But PvP jobs have almost no skills, and they all have their own heal.
And people REALLY don't want jobs that simple in the normal game.
who?
I do not know who this person is, or why their opinion is to be entertained.
High-end paladin player.
Because they're an extremely experienced player who has spent hundreds of hours playing the game at its highest level, and spend most of their time among other players pushing the game at that level. They have an intimate and highly informed perspective on the mechanics of the game.
They complain because tank dps being fundamentally unbalanced is something unrelated to player skill and therefor completely out of their control. You can be the rank 1 PLD and a casual DRK will still eat you for breakfast without breaking a sweat.
Aligning naturally misaligned buffs by factoring in fight time/ kill time and downtime, executing uptime strats, improving boss positioning and reducing forced boss turns on the other hand is 100% a player skill thing and thus within their control.
You see the difference?
Who are these mysterious people that played the game at a decent level and complained about misaligned buffs? Because that's something I heard rarely and it came from inexperienced players that always held their 90s for 2min windows because they didn't understand the numbers behind it.
Literally who?
