Because the solution to 2 minute buff windows is what we had before, where people complained job burst windows didn't line up with each other for maximum buff potential.Yes yes, bald man bad. Now do you have anything to actually refute those arguments and prove that 2 minute burst windows for everyone are great and the way forward? Maybe objective proof that job balance in the current savage tier is completely fine? Or do you just like to hear yourselves talk?
I often think that Xeno's takes on things, like the design of Continuation for example, are nonsense. Doesn't mean he's wrong on everything just because it's him. We've heard the exact same sentiment from Zheph Zaeora and Momo.
Or the solution is no buff synergy, which people would then complain about homogenization of jobs.

I honestly wonder if those people even existed... unless we're talking about people who just wanted to press everything on cooldown and got mad when it didn't magically sync up, in which case if they didn't want to optimize a fight they had the option to just not do that. Getting your 60,90,120 and 180 buffs to sync up as much as possible was part of fight optimization and people who wanted to do so simply dealt with it. That's the whole point of optimization after all, overcoming the dps losses that the game throws at you.
People are complaining about tank dps being unbalanced and you think they want to take jobs where you have to work to align buffs to achieve the same dps as jobs who's buffs line up without any work?I honestly wonder if those people even existed, unless we're talking about people who just wanted to press everything on cooldown and got mad when it didn't magically sync up. That's exactly what we had in ShB and the tank balance, or job balance in general, wasn't nearly as bad.
Imagine a top raider made a video rationally explaining what they liked about the combat system and why, and suggesting a few improvements. Would it generate controversy? Would it get views?
The old news industry saying "If it bleeds, it leads" is now "If it spews, it gets views."
Click bait and raging is what gets views now. It's awful.Imagine a top raider made a video rationally explaining what they liked about the combat system and why, and suggesting a few improvements. Would it generate controversy? Would it get views?

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
This is an incredibly fun tier.
I'm giving Square one more tier to get the balance situation straight, or I'll probably just stop raiding seriously in this game. It's important to me to be able to raid effectively on my favorite job. As it stands, parties are still locking it out in week 2. The situation is officially worse than p4s.
Someone in the DPS forum threads said it best, "When PvP job designs actually feel unique to every individual job class compared to PvE, then you have a problem! Maybe PvP's Job design team should start working on PvE's." Or something to that degree.
I just got around to trying out White Mage in PvP last week. I love my gods dam flower cannon so much!!!!!
