Request to unlock Hempen set styles

Yay 100 pages. I really wish that this would get relooked at. When it got asked all those years ago sadly it confused the devs by the wording of the question. As even though some 1.0 players have said the armor slots had an actual underwear slot. When this got asked the response came off as though the devs thought we were asking for the "underwear" we have now. As I remember them mentioning something about how separating said underwear from the body would be difficult as it's part of the skin mesh or something. Even if they couldn't separate the shown look from race I would also be fine with them making separate items with each look. Can we also at some point get more sleep wear? Only having the one nightgown all these years is sad.

Yeah, when it was asked his answer didn't make sense.

In the Q&A it was asked if they plan to remove racial restrictions for haircuts and hempen sets. The haircuts part of the question got a normal answer like "we don't want to give all the haircuts to everybody", but then when talking about the hempen gear Yoshi was talking about ID0 and ID1 and how ID0 was the character's "skin" and couldn't be changed and ID1 is normal gear, which sounds like he thought the question was about the underwear appearance of a naked character and didn't make any sense as a response about hempen gear.

Can we also at some point get more sleep wear? Only having the one nightgown all these years is sad.

Some of the ARR robes or halfrobes + Striped Cotton Slops can make cute pajamas.

From what I've recalled/watched of the history of FFXIV[1.0]
There was a Smallclothes/underwear System where the variants of hempen small clothes was interchangeable..,
<til they unnecessarily locked it to races, and then shared two races sets with Hroth, and viera>

if such was the case..,[the fact that in the ancient system, people could wear either.., which is the question if that was true.., and if true]
there really is no reason why they can't give them today with some adjustments.[or changes to the name]

There were underwear slots, but there were never a lot of options. I think it was just your race's underwear or the moonfire swimsuits. There might have been different versions of the same underwear, and dyed items were different distinct items that had to be crafted as dyed, so I guess technically there were a few things you could equip to the slot. But the different hempen items were locked to particular races/genders.

I would like to see a return of the "underwear slots" if they can be stored locally, just to have them be shown in the "try on" preview window when my character doesn't have anything equipped to the slot.

Honestly I like the hempen top for Miqo and Elezen meanwhile AuRa get this weird frilled...thing.
I support this, I don't see what the issue would be to let people choose what versions they wish to wear.

Just found this thread and I couldn't agree more, the miqo'te hempen camise is probably my favourite piece in the game and yet im unable to wear it as an au'ra. Makes me just want to grit my teeth and stay miqo'te but id like to still play other races too without making a bunch of alts and starting over from scratch, which overall would make SE more money just from fantasia sales alone.

That frilled thing is so gorgeous though! Id wear it all the time on my Viera, its the perfect mix of cute and romantic, meanwhile Im stuck with a handkerchief covering my ladies.
Miqo and elezen is also so very pretty.

whilst me over here am somewhat happy with the chemise I got.
but of course it is kinda limiting style wise.
<if this was a SP game with Customization, or a MMO built for it>
there be lots of underlayers that show when parts aren't exposed.

whilst unrelated, an option to extend cloth to parts of armor left uncovered.
<like the gaps in panthean sets filled with stocking, or glove.>

maybe we can get some hopes up closer to 7.0, or a live letter in the future for more exact words.

buy yes. the chemise is quite fitting in Au Ras, though still limiting.
<have it part of a plate, but don't plan to use it til I achieved something on one other class first.>
