This is an oppinion thread and beauty is in the eye of the beholder right?
The OP wants tails and I say "Hell NO" to it, I respect his point of view (same with Gramul's and yours) but I still think that Roegadyns are cool and Galkas are not.
I mean there are people that like Bulldogs out there, but I only see them as freaks of nature (or man), same with Galkas.

I fail to see the problem.

Since I want to make a Roegadyn Female in Version 2.0 I do not want them to be Bulldogs.
I actually want to like the looks of my characters.

I agree, it is a fantasy world.. needs a little more ugly, it has plenty of beauty. Doesn't mean we can't have both?

Because there are respectful "ugly" and funny "ugly".
Roeagdyn are not beautiful but they are likable (IMO), I could not take Galkas seriously with their little feet running, it was one of my major reasons to not like the Dark Lord storyline...

All joking aside DL was an incredible quest line and really felt like an original Final Fantasy game in and of itself. FFXI was a collection of classic FF plots and missions and they all existed in one world. It is why I consider it my favorite title in teh franchise for story alone. Comparing Shadow Lord to Big Bad evvvvvilllll Empire in terms of how engaged I feel in the overall story is cringe worthy. I pray they take a few hints from their previous successes and grafted them into this newblood.

So if he can't have his ugly and he doesn't want you to have your beauty, that would leave everyone on one side or the other at a stand still. Hence why i said "why can't we have both?". If you can't please them both try to compromise so both are happy. I don't really care if they have tails or not but i am all for having more options and variations for customization to make a character truly unique and your own.
