I guess this is the result when you tie synced extreme trial to casual rewards (mounts and minions)The best part of sephirot is how much it has exposed bad players. A good party skips 2nd knockback/adds entirely.
A bad party hits enrage etc. Watching the people who thought this was another Ultima get absolutely gated and curb stomped has been one of the best clown shows in a while.![]()
Which is why you learn the context first.
JPN uses an agreed on Macro for strats.
But it doesn't mean anything if you don't know the context.
Hell, people can yell mario kart and braindead as strat all they want. Anyone who doesn't know the context won't know what to do.
Why should someone be helping randoms instead of focusing on their own progress and activities? There is so much to do in this game. I've been trying the first savage and I wouldn't have time for that if I wasted multiple nights every week on unreal groups who have not cleared. People who are not willing to tie themselves to a static who learn content together need to be in charge of their own learning and put in the same work as the rest of us do by clearing it with other first-timers.
Sephirot Extreme back in HW was the first extreme raid I ran at min ilvl. I cleared it on Duty Finder (before raid finder or cross-world party finder existed). Waited hours on queue only for a person to leave after 1 wipe. But a month later I was able to clear, and it's hands down one of my favorite Extremes ever because of the high difficulty and coordination required.
I was so excited to see it come back, and maybe see how the new people would tackle it. I was honestly very disappointed to see people leave after one or two wipes. Or refusing to do tower callouts. Just one person has to type L or R in chat to call out an orange tower while the colored debuffs are out. The rest can worry about the other tower.
I did clear it, but I am kinda disappointed to see the attitude of new players. The fight is hard to master, but once you do, it's ridiculously simple. The whole mechanics are scripted, meaning you can memorize what comes next. There are not only visual queues, but SFXs as well. When the ground flashes yellow, there is a loud beam like sound effect going out, you can move out as soon as you hear it.
Hope you don't give upI'll be happy to help.
Well... Savage drops mounts as well, it's most definitely a reward for your efforts than a "casual" reward. I would say casual rewards are like those crown icons you get for managing to die to every mech while wearing it.
You are making assumptions which I find annoying. You need to understand that helping and giving advice politely is in contrast to someone who trivializes the difficulty of the encounter. Congratz that you cleared it after three nights. I finally cleared it yesterday before reset, so it took me two weeks, and I've done nothing but this fight since 6.2 release. There are still a lot of players out there right now still trying to get their first clear. Are you helping them as well? Or do you now just join 'Duty Complete' parties?
I don't mean to compare grievances. I got frustrated too, and most of that are due to my own screwups. I am far more critical of my own mistakes. However, the clear rate should be a testament to the difficulty of the encounter.
Yes i'm still helping my friends clear.
My point was that if people don't listen, like having mechanics explained to them several times and still fail to do it and in this fights its as easy as following the group btw, it should be dealt with after several pulls, and I don't think theres anything wrong with that.
When I put up a kill pf and get folks who don't know what they're doing, i'm not reprogging for them, and I feel most people expect that you do.
Well this how I think about this.
Casual rewards are all those rewards that can be done or grinded casually whenever. Most mounts are something that can be grinded un-synced or with over-gear eventually.
BiS gear is not casual reward as its only relevant for this purpose - to beat content faster/gear up for ultimate/parses only when gear is current. Afterwards when its purpose is only cosmetic its casual reward.
In similar vein, content completion achievement is proportional for the challenge, week 1 kills are most prestigious while kills with echo obviously far less. Thus UWU weapons are "more casual" rewards now than DRU weapons.
So in this case, Faux Hollow rewards are all grindable pokemon collection type rewards than can be done eventually, however Sephiroth Unreal is Synced and all other Extreme trial rewards in the game can be grinded eventually when they become easier, but this one won't become easier. Given that Faux Hollows rewards are not going away they can be grinded in future easier Unreals tho.

I don't know that this really answered anything cause you defined a "casual reward" as something that can be achieved "casually".Well this how I think about this.

It's casual because it's casual. That doesn't help understanding much.
