1 week savage delay and everything that plays into it

i mean, yeah, if not everyone is pulling their weight, you're not getting week 1 clears. that's how it should be. i disagree about requiring optimal job comp, that's a bit much, but requiring 8 players to be playing well in a standard or semi-standard (2 casters instead of 2 melees) to clear on content drop is fine.

Day one or two in PF are usually better than most statics. If you're dedicated you can make tons of progress quickly.
Then the skill level decreases a lot as you progress through the week, reaching abyssal levels on Monday.

To basically say no raider cares about the story in general and skips because of that und therefore it's irrelevant whether Savage gets delayed or not just shows how ignorant you are.

I never said that raiders don't or can't care about the story. I did say people always had the ability to first enjoy the story if they want and start raiding after that. But some people chose not to and felt the need to rush.

I agree, that's how it was. At most I would be progging 10 days on a single fight but on the previous tier P3S took me 5-6 weeks. I mean it's just insane what kind of low tier players are getting into raiding, in EX I can adjust for someone's negligence but that's usually not the case in Savage.

It's just bumming me out I'm so heavily discouraged out of content I used to enjoy because of others.

As someone who doesn't even do savage, I enjoyed the delay. Usually when a new raid tier drops, my friends who raid will jump in immediately to get their week1, and I'll basically never see them again. They're constantly in the raid zone, banging their head against PF and (sometimes) getting madder and madder as they continue to wipe due to other people being bad or w/e. Then they'll burn out on the game and start only logging in when they have to do their weekly raid stuff. And eventually they just stop playing altogether.

But this time, there was a week before all of that! So I actually got to enjoy the MSQ with those friends and go through the normal raids/EX with them before they went full-raider mode. It's way more preferred and I love this change and I hope they don't revert it back.

I mean thats your fault for trying to rush a week 1 clear with pugs instead of a dedicated group where you can better coordinate strats, record and examine footage to analyze mechanics, and better distribute loot where needed.

As I understand the problem is not week 1 delay or dps check but bad job balance.

Difference between PLD and GNB or other casters and BLM is what, 5%+? That is obviously big enough to have difference in passing the check.
