Ah there are plenty of people saying to just „play better“ and that you can „carry people“ even though it is impossible to do so if your team just straight up hits less buttons.
It is not necessarily aimed at anybody here but in general in case somebody with that mindset reads it.
Because none of their reasoning works, you can not physically do everything when your team constantly switches targets and doesn‘t press buttons in the first place, no class can carry 1-3 vs 5 constantly, every interaction.
Was a bit dramatic because people are just not kidding when they say what they say sometimes.
Playing better does not help against 0 healing teammates, no guard wonders and the „what be buttons“
The only thing that works is stopping yourself, waiting and praying they stop when you go again AND you get people that are at least playing a bit better.
But i like the mode and have limited time, i cannot wait that long all the time.
3 ranks in one pool is still a mistake tbh.
Man this thread is full of some serious "Just get good" energy. That's all it takes. Just get good.
Ah ok Yes I agree the rank pool change was the worst idea I said this in a fourm before 6.2Ah there are plenty of people saying to just „play better“ and that you can „carry people“ even though it is impossible to do so if your team just straight up hits less buttons.

The team RNG has been there now its just worst so I see what you mean
SE prevents you from 1v9ing the game since there aren't any other variables like gear or lvls
When I stated you can carry it was only in bronze or unranked due to there not being any players that know their kit but this can be countered with a random gold
on the other team so take it with a grain of salt after that its impossible
One tactic I do see alot that just stomps is the train rush of all five run at one person kill them then go to the next one requires a tank or all dps or the other team not having a tank and bobs your uncle not saying do it but this has been my bane in low elo
My conspiracy theory as to why people get hard stuck in certain ranks for awhile and then shoot up after 10 or 20 games is SE trying to push everyone up by using better players as the cost so you either push your team of bad up or allow the other team of bad to get pushed up to give the illusion of progression while keeping the no player left behind mentality it had before (Just a theory no reference)
Free the Glam!, Duel Pistols (Gunner)?
Ye it was always a thing but it just got worse.
At this point you could literally just scrab silver and gold and just go from bronze 10 to bronze 1 and then to platinum because it would be the same sense of progress as you feel now.
As said, nothing feels worse than clawing your way to gold 3-1 just to get more bronze-unranked people. Even if theres good ones here and there, but there is 0 progress here.
How it was before is fine, just being able to lose rank was enough.
Bronze gets bronze, high bronze gets silver people
Silver gets silver, high silver gets gold people
Gold gets gold, high gold gets platinum people, etc.
I know it sucks to fall out of a rank, but that its just the risk of every ranked game. People saying losing rank would kill the mode clearly doesn‘t play many other ranked games.
While it gets annoying if you get the bads, if you‘re not bad, you will climb while the bads will fall further and get to the rank „they belong“.
Not rocket science.
Now its just: unranked, bronze, gold in the kiddie pool which is a free for all battle royale
And then: platinum, diamond and crystal in the slighter deeper pool
That's kinda true but there was never really a big gap between silver and plat, bronze just houses the people thatYe it was always a thing but it just got worse.

absolutely have no idea what they're doing and Dia to Crystal is now full of the high end people who just play now and then.
and that is ultimately because
the rewards stood the same, the mode stood the same, there was a full reset AND a huge mount of new content outside
of pvp was released
the question really is why should I put myself through this again? Having the same title and plate for the third time?
everybody is just goofing around now, people queue ranked more often because they're just bored than to actually reach something.

It never did, even crystal because not losing rank just made it easier to winstreak your way with no consequences. That's kinda true but there was never really a big gap between silver and plat, bronze just houses the people that

And I know it will never change, there will always be people where you wonder how they managed to get where they are.
Also I believe that some people just play for the rank. Or because, despite all the flaws and the VERY DUMB WINRATE BUFF (without showing playrates, whms are everywhere) some people like pvp. I still do and i just want to climb ranks if possible just because lol
No real reward needed, i just like seeing how far i can get ( i was lazy in season 2 and am not hardcore by any means either, i played like garbage yesterday, yikes)
I want to play Season 3, but I don’t have a reason to do so now. One of the change that made me not participate was the demotion system. When dealing with 5v5, I don’t want to lose rank because 4 others underperform. If I want to lose rank and be responsible for it, then 1v1 would be the most sense in the matter. I’m not fond of this because it’s out of your control, you’re at the mercy of random ppl and it’s now more on luck than anything to keep your high tier rank.
You can’t tell that person that they suck without getting banned. You can’t exit out without being punished for it so you have to take the loss of de-ranking. S3 is just not fun and I know complaints isn’t going to reach the devs that this truly the worst one of them all.
It’s going to be interesting to see how the devs report the participation rate for S3 than the last 2 seasons.

All it takes is just one person underperforming to tank the match, which is the worst part. A lack of any real agency over your progression, whether that be from imbalanced teams or just someone refusing to press buttons. Frustrating doesn't even begin to cover itI want to play Season 3, but I don’t have a reason to do so now. One of the change that made me not participate was the demotion system.
