Sticking gold with bronze/unranked to keep the gold from moving up has killed this mode dead. Anyone above gold either botted or win traded, and everyone knows it.

Frustation and anger from being Drop fom gold 1 to bronze to climb out and do it again with Diamond 2 with 3 stars only to go back to Plat
Also I only play on Ps4 and no I don't have money to blow on free wins
Its hard I'm not gonna lie and the new changes are dumb but please don't down play my hard work

The only reason nobody plays this anymore is because it's still the same boring maps and the same boring rewards and not because you guys hardstuck in gold lol

The maps do need new additions and I agree I don't bother with top 100 since the cool glam from the old seasons before CC aren't even here so screw it why bother but I will hit Crystal one day

Topping every game in kills and damage almost guaranteed as certain jobs like blm, and even that doesn't guarantee wins when your entire team besides you is going 0-5+ deaths and has a third of your personal damage. When I was on BLM, I would beat even the enemy BLM on the winning team in damage output and kills just because his team was grouped for aoe lb damage more than mine.

Also I won't state so BS as to skill now since you can carry once you hit silver its impossible but you can in bronze most people don't even know how to play in that elo
so carry is a possiblity
As for silver your gonna have to make some plays and know what your team is doing battle awareness is key at this elo
As for gold picking a role that will aid your whole team and being good with it will help also make calls plz your teammates are monkey they need help
As for Plat everything above but to eleven also know where the agrro is and who the priority target is for example if your tank is getting beat on fine who will be the most danger to him and fight them this is called Peeling in other games also protect your MVP
As for Diamond Just like plat but now you need to learn roles
Blocker , disrupter, Tank, support(There isn't a real healer), Executioner, and Carry

I can explain this in more detail if you want but note I made these names up to develop a system for the mess I see and adjust based on this I hope this helps its how I got to where I am

If you saw me as black mage in ranked pvp on my main, it was probably like the 2-3 games I pulled it out in Plat 4 because a certain person in the queue's at the same time was a really bad dragoon getting doubled in damage by the enemy team every match and I was switching between BRD, DRG, BLM, WHM every other match to try to switch my group queue to avoid him before I went back to my bard and now I'm at Plat 1 xD Unfortunate the kid was getting smashed so hard the next few days I only saw them on healer and they were in Plat 2/Plat1 last I saw them.

As for the roles you mentioned at the bottom, that's one of the reasons I was switching around, because I was playing a 50/50. Me and a friend call it "sabotage" instead of disruptor since most times its a planned, exact effort from the beginning of the match, but often times I consider BRD as a ranged sabotage/disruptor which is where my strength normally is for decision making, but, if I get those bad queue's where someone is underperforming, then I wish I was on something that carried harder like BLM or DRG. then I end up trying to force myself to play more aggressive and pro-active instead of reactionary and I get taken out as BRD. Annoying playing one job, but your team needs a "role" in the match that your job isn't good at. I'll probably see you in a week if you're still floating in Diamond, paused on queue's due to my 'X' button being semi-halfway smashed in and I'm not playing Diamond matches with a broken button T_T Good luck in the meantime o/

Ah, the good old refrain from lucky/cheating ones!

You just need skill, you just need to win, you just need blah blah blah.

No one believes you have any skill in this mode because it is completely RNG-dependent.

You can spout this line all you want, it just proves you either cheated your way out of Gold in this mode or got lucky, neither of which is "skill dependant" at all.

You can't play a team mode without a team, that's a fact that isn't going to change no matter what you claim.
