Aether currents would be nice. Imagine getting an alt to hsw or sb and insta flying.

Except you did say a million farms. What?
There's literally a mount for farming 50000 bicolor gemstones. Are you high? Do you have any idea how long that's going to take on one character let alone even just two if you want the mount on another character? 3,835 fates. 14 gems per fate for a grand total of 320 hours of grinding assuming each fate takes 5 minutes.
What about the mount you get for 1000 S Rank hunts?
Or the Pteranodon? Should those mounts be locked to only one character per account?
inb4 you say "but i said a million farms not 3000"
If you want to engage in constructive discussion with others, don't use excessive exaggeration. You'll be called out on it.
Now, go back and read ALL of what I said in that paragraph that included mention of the Pteranodon. What did I say there?
As for the bi-color gemstone rewards, there's an option to grinding the FATEs - buy the vouchers off the marketboard. Prices on the vouchers have been dropping on the NA worlds so it's just a matter of checking all 24 worlds for the best prices and then buying the vouchers. With all that time on your hands and all those alts you say you actively play, you should have more than enough gil to buy a few sets of vouchers.
If you'd rather grind the FATEs yourself, it will be between 600-700 completions of Formidable/Archaeotania/Daivadipa/Chi and you have the FATEs available to you on 24 different worlds (not to mention that Thavnair is still instanced so that's 2 extra FATEs every 48 hours or so). It's honestly easier to accomplish than the hunt mounts. Have 10 alts you want to get the wings or mount for? Only 7000 kills compared to getting 30,000 kills for one of the expansion hunt mounts or 70,000 kills for the Centurio Tiger.

Eh. Don't waste another minute on this person. They're some strange kind of greedy about this alt stuff and they're never going to put this sharing nonsense in the game.
If you can't sense that I'm using hyperbole to illustrate the ridiculous amount of time it takes to get some rewards then that's on you, I'm not about to read your entire long-winded post all so I can tell you the same thing.
Either way you're devoting a ridiculous amount of time to something that's ordinarily supposed to take an entire expansions life cycle to complete. I'm not about to spend three billion gil on 8 alts all so I can have a mount that should be account wide.
If you can't see how ridiculous that is then this thread isn't meant for you.
I agree that many items should be account wide. Mainly Mogstation items and things locked behind achievements/grinds. I currently have one alt who I made for a very specific purpose but then became attached to her and now have her in Stormblood. I love playing her but I wish I had my glamour items from my main character. If I want to give her more glamour items I have to go to my main character and craft it, then send it to my friend who will send it to my alt. Very tedious. I don't get why people would WANT to do this stuff over and over and over. The story, I understand. But other things? Absolutely not. I HATE Island Sanctuary.
Achievements being shared makes zero sense.
Your alts aren't achieving these feats. Just because it's the same player behind the screen doesn't mean it's the same characters.

Make 7 alts on one server, level them to 90, free retainers and storage and tons of mat farming without having to do any work, various races so no need to fantasia, run a solo FC , reapcall the rewards with none of the leadership responsibilities in regards to setting and enforcing rules, etc. Make tons of money , get a house more easily. Use alts to put in tons of entries when it's time to relocate to a bigger house. Have full control of FC buffs and change them whenever wanted, use FC chest for trading items between alts. Is this an extremely niche scenario?Gonna have to disagree with ya there, chief. This game is "alt-unfriendly" because outside of extremely niche scenarios you have virtually no reason to make an alt. Even fewer now that DC Travel is a thing. Every job is usable on a single character, (mostly) every storyline is replayable with NG+, currencies can be spent on all different kinds of things depending on whatever you want to allocate them to (Astronomies for instance, being spend-able on gearing, crafting, etc...)
Like, what's the reason for having 8 alts? It sounds like willful self-torture that 99.9% of players simply don't need to deal with. Why redesign the entire reward system around what is effectively a player/self-imposed issue?
Would be nice. Definitely not holding my breath tho. Please devs if you're reading this make all rewards (achievement, island sanctuary, mounts, minions, PVP milestones, aether currents, orchestrion rolls, sightseeing logs, etc) account wide.
Full disclosure I'm not asking for anything that gives players an edge over other players, examples being tomestones, gear, or job levels. I think all of those things should be earned.
This game isn't the least bit alt-friendly. Having to level up 8 islands for my 8 alts just so they can have the glamour at the end of the grind is so time consuming and a chore.
If Square Enix were to do this I think it would encourage people to make alts, thereby spending more time in the game leveling and gearing up said alts.
However, good caveat would be that most of these things should be locked behind story progression. Island Sanctuary gear shouldn't be able to be worn until you reach the appropriate level and point in the story where Island Sanctuary would normally unlock.
unlockables like modern aehestics, aka the hairstyles, would be nice to have account wide, specially the event ones.
