People have wanted this for years, and for good reason.
Far as I know, devs haven't even addressed it.

I want this along so i can cosplay multiple characters at once lol

I can imagine the technical limitations but I can also still get behind this idea. If they were ever able to implement it, I would be very pleased and use it a lot.

Perhaps they could add equip-able dye-able projectable wigs to the game.
But only if they properly handle everyone's ears.
Might be harder than I think, though: hair physics (how it moves as your character moves) might be separate from clothing physics.
I am under the impression that doing either well enough to not be a distraction can be hard.

This could be really fun and allow for a lot of creativity. But let's be real, there is no way the code in this game will ever allow anything even remotely close to it. But we can dream.
Honestly, I would like it very much if there were options to hide ears. I think male Viera and female Miquote have the most attractive faces but I'm not a big fan of the whole walking around with bunny ears type of deal. I just want an option to make them look like hyur by hiding the ears. Right now, the only headpiece I know that hides ears is the werewolf ears which is the opposite of what I'm trying to doPerhaps they could add equip-able dye-able projectable wigs to the game.

character customization data: Separate and immutable during gameplay. Detached from constant back and forth item data streams, evidenced by only being modifiable when in a special removed customization state that removes your character and it's interactions from every other part of the game.
Glamours and plates: Very much linked to your inventory data as every item needs to be present and referenced with items slots on your character. Contributes to constant data throughput from your client to the server on status of items in inventory and being "used".
Adding your hair to a glamour plate either needs to add a "hair" slot to it, making the hair "items" and limiting our inventory/plate/dresser capacity, or to rework how customization and items work entirely.
So while I personally would LOVE to be able to do the hairstyle per glamour thing and have so many glamours more often if my ponytails didn't stick right through the collars or just don't look good with my current hairstyle.....
We aren't going to see this unless we're willing to sacrifice potential inventory space, or they rework how the entire thing functions fundamentally.
