a BETTER way to get casuals to play CC ranked and actually STAY playing

What if... I don't want the casuals to play CC ranked ? What if I'm willing to sacrifice more queue pops for higher quality matches with people who want and deserve to be there ? What you call a mess, I call something that is slowly trying to clean itself up. More enticing ranked rewards would go a long way into finishing the job.

Where are those 30 min wait times that you speak of ? Did we ever have them ? Even in The Feast ? Were they in Bronze ranks, 2 months into the season, when everyone else has climbed or gotten discouraged ? Were they at noon on a weekday, when people were you know... at work or in school ? Because that all sounds pretty reasonable to me.

How shocking that a mode that was nowhere near as popular as Crystalline Conflict, with role restrictions for tank/healer/melee DPS/ranged DPS still managed to pop every night.

Would I prefer it if queues popped more frequently and earlier and later everyday ? Sure. But the player base is just not there to support that. And it's certainly not the "casuals" as you put it who will make games more competitive and fun.

Oh I know that FFXIV PVP is extremely bad compared to some of the other stuff out there lol.

But I'm in the achievement hunting community where we try to do everything in the game, so I "have" to play it... a lot. I just want my experience to not be too painful and high-rank games with good players are the most fun you can get playing CC.
