Apologies, but that argument doesn't hold water.

Remove rewards from all contents in the game and most would die within 2 weeks (savage, extremes) or wouldn't exist in the first place (relics). No gear, mounts, minions, titles, bardings, orchestrion rolls, trophies, reagents, etc.

I'd also argue that removing all rewards from the game would leave Ultimates (challenge), PvP (challenge) and RPing (socializing) as the only stuff people would do regularly.

No, you pretty much hit every category. You also pretty much hit every category of a reward you could expect, leaving none.

No reward would make me go through that hell, and i rather not miss on a item that interest me so ... no thanks (or maybe a trophy as an housing item ?)

But no mount, glam, minion or scroll, there's a reason why they put that kind of stuff as a casual reward and they made the right choice as far as i'm concern.

There will always be people (new or not) that will compete to reach Crystal at least once, no need for new reward.

I would even say that the lack of reward will reduce the incentive for people to grind it each season, giving more chance for other to reach hightest rank.

Tbh i dislike time limited stuff, but disagree with making past rewards easy to get.
I'd be down with letting top 100 players be able to purchase a reward from the past once a season, it'd be literally the same difficulty as back then, and make more people try for it, nobody cares about the portrait frames
