Absolutely. It would feel like it was really "your home". You can yell, "get off my lawn!" and actually be able to do something about it.

I know you used it as a figure of speech, but I wonder if keeping people off your lawn would be possible as well. Probably not because the garden is not an own "room". But then again, this is a thread with a suggestion, an idea, the "how" is someone else's concern.
