Thank you. By tomestones I think you mean scrips. I was looking in all the vendors but not finding anything. But thank you for drawing my attention to that.
IF lodestone is correct.. you are undergeared and under materia'd to even consider the current end game gear.Thank you all for the replies, the helpful and the not so much. My point isn't I want it to be easier.
I found my problem, I do still need better gear. BUT even when I do I'll still be under the minimum. I am leveled enough.
No crafts should be higher than maybe a little higher than base to try. Thats my point here. Success on the otherhand is a different question.
With minimum it should be hard, but minimum shouldn't be this high.
Pactmaker's is better stat wise than what you have, and is comparable to the blue gear. period. your materia is running level 7 and lower aside from one 10.
even WITH Pactmaker or the tome gear you will be under, that will require materia, and the better stuff. which you can get with tomes.
once you put in that effort, should reach the minimums easily. the bar is set rather low, and is easy to reach, just more effort and does not require any penta melding. these are MASTER recipes.. they should be expected to have higher requirements than base. there is no problem with the requirements, its just the effort you are putting into it
AR-Caen is the lowest level 90 gear you can get for crafting... crafted or otherwise... same with chromite tools
"Master" craft or not The minimum should not require so much work... Putting in the time to be successful is something I need to do yes but my point is even after getting the Pactmakers gear, I will not have "Minimum".IF lodestone is correct.. you are undergeared and under materia'd to even consider the current end game gear.

The level I need to actually craft it will of course be higher and require good use of skills and proper basic materia. That is the difficulty. The difficulty to even try and fail is what I am talking about.
I admit I need better gear and I am working on that. Thank you for your help.
Is okay. I worked it out in the end.
Also about my current gear I got the crafted pieces a while ago and, yes the matria in them is horrible. I was just maxing out how much CP I could use at the time cause that's all I needed for what I was doing.
Sorry I burned your eyes with that disgrace LOL
no need to apologize really. Is okay. I worked it out in the end.

it was at least 90 gear lol. that said, even pentamelding that gear would leave you short, even with the highest grade materia, since its already short 300 points each on the major craftsmanship and 200 on control pieces. so yes, I can see where you would say the requirements are "unreasonable"
but I think you will see once you get into better gear they are well within grasp to meet without pentamelding
Crafting endgame gear without endgame crafting gear. Sounds about right in terms of balance. You shouldnt be able to easily craft endgame gear with entry level crafting gear. Especially if you are using macros.
Reading through this...yeah, I see where the problem lies. I had the same problem and realized I didn't have the Pactmaker's set. Ended up crafting all of it myself, after getting a friend to craft a single piece for me (need the head start). Crafting is definitely crazy at endgame, and pentamelds help...while also hurting because of the cost. Luckily you TECHNICALLY only need to upgrade to this level once every 6-8 months (whenever the odd patches come out). So it's balanced out by only needing to worry about that hell every half a year.
Thank you very much. My current goal is crafting a Pactmaker set and saving up my cowries on my island to buy materia. If I work on both sides, scripts and cowries I'll have all the materia I'll need.no need to apologize really.

I'm having to work on getting scrips, both gatherers and gatherers so I can at least get that little boost to make crafting my set more manageable.
I think you are right. I did hit a wall I really didn't expect and got frustrated and panicked and ranted. This is really not something I normally do.
Gatherer materia is super easy. Just hit the legendary nodes with a spiritbond buff active. Add durability for more spiritbond hits.Thank you very much.
