People were hoping to see gardening expanded so players without houses could grow onions, not have more systems locked behind the arbitrary luck of getting a house.
There's nothing to prevent a workshop from being attached to apartments if SE wants all players to get access.

And speaking of onions, it would be interesting to see how many of those players who got a house in the early stages of the lottery and said they were going to start growing onions are still doing it.
