Does anyone else think the new portrait system is janky?

I mean it was kind of janky before, but now you can’t even create a new portrait unless it’s linked to a gearset? Feels a bit like the old glamour system where you had to create different sets just to change outfits.

Unless I’m missing something here, this feels like a downgrade.

Gotta give you something to complain about I suppose.

Personally I haven't played about with it since the update as it kept my old one that I really like, but I'm getting the impression you can't just create one and apply/detach from gearsets as you like?
It does sound a bit more tedious than previously. Is there a copy function?

From what I've seen, and I checked lots cause I was going crazy, no you can't copy, and you can't apply/detatch from gearsets. The portrait system itself and the adventurer plate portrait seem to be two completely separate systems now wiht no connection. And if I'm wrong I'd be suepr happy to be corrected and enlightened. I honestly have no clue what even is the function of Portrait now, I guess just for CC matches?

They plan to bring that CC functionality for portraits to dungeons. This was just the first step.

Yeah, it’s just for the instant portrait before CC, dungeons, and mah jong, as far as we know for now. But the thing is, while I play CC a lot, I loved changing my IP around between matches, and now I can’t do that without having multiple duplicate gear sets.
