They cut out a dungeon every patch.

This has nothing to do with XVI and has to do with how people ignored expert Roulette in 4.X in favor of capping via NM trains in Anemos. Yoshida has explained this multiple times by now.
They realized that we don't like running dungeons to cap and he admitted that they don't like making them as its basically new hire grunt work that people work to get out of on the team.

I'll say this again...

About 90% or more of the gear that took racial traits in consideration are just based on gear that was already implemented by Tanaka's team before Yoshida took over.
The first thing Yoshida decided regarding gear modelling was practically ask fans if they wanted quality (but unique models would take longer to be made) or quantity (but gear would lose detail, and we end up with less headgear that respects ears, less concern with tail clipping etc). Apparently at the time people asked for quantity without realising it.

Once they had to start pushing new models on their own that was literally it.

Tanaka and 1.0 had many problems. Attention to model detail was definitely not one of them. They did that significantly better. Down to visible swappable belts and ear holes/sockets in everything where it made sense.

Despite that, if they really asked this question in the past, I believe they should ask again, or revise this decision.

From what people say, at the time of 1.0 the game barely had updates, and SE was not doing very well monetarily.

Nowadays things have changed and the scenario is no longer the same. I see no reason to accept a hrothgar's snout being squeezed into a Hyur helmet, or the ears and tails of all races (if any) being ripped off with every gear thrown (and now skills too).

Yes, you are correct. Congratulations.

A shame for the company, since the only difference between the races, currently, is just the posture. Soon we will be being charged real money to change the character's posture, as most items simply remove any other trait that differentiates the races.

This one is kind of sad. We're all hyurs wearing animal ears after all.

the game already has ridiculously low potential for its races. The only thing that sets us apart from a hyur is our ears/tails, with Hrothgar being the furthest away race.
In other games, the races are usually much better than here, we have really big differences to choose from. And how does SE deal with it? Taking away the one thing that makes their races unique.

I remember before Au Ra were released they said they'll make the gear, especially the headgear, so that there won't be so much clipping with the horns, that they make the new headgear models with the horns in mind. Even the gear that got released with 3.0 looked bad with horns though. And while there already had 1.0 gear that had special models for Miqo'te tails, it wasn't even used for Au Ra - the Au Ra just got the Hyur models instead of the Miqo'te models (for example the bliauds or whatever they're called).
