but jokes asside yes the 'nightclub' scene as a whole is irritating and the spam advertisement make it all the more so. shout chat is great for 'can anyone show me where x is' or 'can anyone help with x duty' so as a mentor itd be dumb to mute it
.
These events are stupid though. ooo look at my toon dance. Let me try and flirt with this person etc etc. Just go to a real nightclub at least you actually get real food and drinks and maybe a dance or 2 for real. You shouldn't if you want to play an MMO and interact with other people. There's games where chat doesn't exist and they're called single player games. Maybe play those. MMO's really shouldn't cater to an anti-social audience that's bothered by nightclub shouts they can easily ignore.

RPing is fine so as long as they abide by the rules.
Shouting for a group has always been a thing in XI and XIV , it's just no longer specific to battle.

You're arguing taste now. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing, but don't try to micromanage other people if you're not paying their sub fee.
You aren't around much - this is a nightly thing. Hardcore spam on the weekends.
Honestly, you can either report them for spamming the chat, or just stay out of the major cities, as that's where it's most often the issue with this.
Just speaking bluntly these nightclub events suck. Then they promote non stop when they are going to open with these washed up DJ's that can't get a real gig so they play DJ in a game. The whole nightclub scene is cringe worthy
