This is the same as random bard music, fc recruitment, /say spam that would be better suited for a linkshell, full fcs congregating in a city instead of their house and making it laggy, people trying out their whole emote list, wings and offensive glamours. Other people can be annoying but they are also the reason we choose to play an MMO.

They could make more chat channels to keep it more organised and structured.

You shouldn't if you want to play an MMO and interact with other people. There's games where chat doesn't exist and they're called single player games. Maybe play those. MMO's really shouldn't cater to an anti-social audience that's bothered by nightclub shouts they can easily ignore.

Coming from previous MMOs where usually had that sort of hub where people gather and spams the shout/trade chat, XIV’s on the other hand feels very tame to me. It doesn’t look ‘constant’ to me where I need to repeatedly scroll up just to read whatever my FC/Friend/CWLS chats. Once in a blue moon there are few individuals who would pour out a few wall of texts but even that has never been a ‘constant’ spam like what you & few other may have described.

The only time it becomes spammy enough is when I park my character right in the middle of Limsa aetheryte during peak hour or when certain event is going on (The island/tower while current moonfire event is on going is a perfect example), which half of time also came from /say chat. But I just take it that’s the price to pay for mingling in a crowded public spot, yeah? Everybody has to deal with the same spammy chat so it’s whatever.

I have a channel that exclude the shout & yell chats specifically but I ended up never using it at all. It would be nice to have few more customizable channels though. Maybe 2-3 more would be neat.

Annoying and cringeworthy, I blacklist most of them if I see them. I've been seeing way more since 6.0. Possibly related to data centre travel idk

I allready has post a thread on the German Forum about that topic. But I want to see how is the opinion of the english speaking community.

As soon as you visit one of the main cities you got a constant spam of nightclubs and parties. And not only for the own datacenter, they shout also for other too. You blacklist one, three more shout nearly instant for the next party/club etc. Even RMTseller or FC shouter aren't that worse than Party/Club shouter at the moment.

What do you think and feel about it? Should SE do something about it?

I hate it, its lound and spammy and i already hate that stuff irl... make some blackboards for that or an tab on the PF but dont spam 24/7...

There's a plug in for this on the 3rd party launcher which works a bit like an ad blocker.

Thats also against the Tos and should get you permabanned ^^
