It's a bit spam heavy at times, but this is really their game more than anything. This is what the majority of people in-game seem to enjoy.

The main issue is the lack of chat channels. Yell and shout should be more about ongoing events in the zone. Venues and FC recruitments would be better each having own channel.

Novice network is a chat channel you can leave, but I understand what you mean. It's time for a chat overhaul where we can have more chat windows!

It's generally spammy, cringe and anoying. I've had to turn off shout and yell to not get my chat log clogged up.

You can leave the /shout and /yell channel.

True but we shouldn't need to. There should be something similar to trade chats in other MMORPGs. People might still want to have shout enabled but not getting spammed from these people.

Seperate chats for Clubs and FC would be a perfect compromise solution!

I know how to mute the yell, but I don't want to. I'm often in main cities and here and there are shouts from new player who needs help or special hunts/FATEs are called. I don't mind a shout for FC, Club or Party here and there. But you nearly got a constant spam for it. Mostly with chatmacros over several max. textlength, Emojis and Asciis. My main thoughts are for new player. I wouldn't like a game where I freshly start and be yelled of club here, party there, drinks free for cute Mi'quotes etc. Perhaps I care to much for new player, but they don't know how to mute the yell and otherwise it takes an opportunity for them to shout for help and not been overseen.

There's a plug in for this on the 3rd party launcher which works a bit like an ad blocker.

I would be down for an advanced chat filter system. I remember when I played warframe I filtered out all the commonly used terms in clan recruitment messages and after a few additions it worked great.

Why would SE need to do anything? As long as they're not explicitly stating NSFW activity, it's an acceptable use of the channel.

You do have options:

• Ignore the club shouts (what I do)
• Disable shout chat and use /say if you're just hanging around the aetheryte chatting with people
• Go to a housing district, Ishgard, Kugane, Crystarium or Old Sharlayan if you just need a summoning bell or marketboard
