I would argue that some of these fall in the 'robe' category such as the Radiant set. An armored robe is still a robe. Not to mention several of those are repeats on that list so it makes it look a bit larger than it really is. Bonewicca and Manusya sets are identical as are the Neo-Ishgardian and Ophiotauroskin sets. No one is saying that they don't exist, but that the sheer number of robe-like glams so vastly out numbers the non robe-like glams that it is getting old.

Most of the time we're lucky if a single released set in a patch isn't a robe. Generally we end up with 2 out of the 3 sets being robe-like if we're lucky, if we're not (such as this time) then it is 3/3 on the robe-likes. It just gets old, especially when you have classes like RDM that are not in the Robe-like aesthetic at all. One could argue that they'd be better off sharing set designs with Striking or Scouting.

Agreed on the radiant set! It's nose to toe - just like a robe even though people could argue it's a coat or a jacket. It's a big cone XD

Several of those repeats came very close together as well which was disappointing. No problem with reusing gear in principle, but why weren't these sets shuffled for different classes? If you consider raid/tome/crafted sets - a big goal for a lot of players - the vast majority of them are full length garments. This limits glam and it alienates the casters whose job identity doesn't really include that big lampshade silhouette. It also gets in the way of them making gearsets that look unified as a whole. I keep going on about it but consider the new crafted set. The stripey sleeves. It's beautiful! It's the glam of my dreams! The casting sets do not even adhere to the same aesthetic. There is no unifying design element between them its just more of the same for no logical reason.

And adding to this, some tops have the nasty habit of suddenly turning into a ballgown when worn by a female character.
I personally love the Radiant set because it's an armored robe and has more of a battle cleric feel for me and we only have few options for this style but as you said, it's still a robe that covers the majority of the legs/ feet even with a frontal view and the two slits. The Asphodeles set also has a very dress-like look about it even with the bigger slits and covers everything at the back.

What we primarily lack are sets with a top that simply ends at the hip, no butt capes, no semi dresses. Something where you can fully or mostly see the legs front, back and side. For both genders, no turning it into a another dress when worn by a female character. There do exist a few options but they are very limited to compared to the insane amount of robes/ dresses/ butt capes with a short front cape we have and it doesn't help that some of them have a very distinct style so they're a difficult to combine and not as versatile.
The Serge top and the YorHa coat and Neo-Ishgardian if females got the male version are nice as versatile tops that you can combine for a lot of different styles. I'm particularly fond of the male version of the Neo-Ishgardian set as the little cape is fairly small, alas ...

Because its base form is a robe, not a dress, and then the female version gets turned into a cutesy lolita version of the robe.
