Island Sanctuaries and Retired Racing Chocobos

Was trying to find if anyone had made a post regarding this but couldn't find anything. I don't know how many people do Chocobo Racing so this may only affect a small percentage of players. I started properly doing races and retiring Chocobos a while ago and was thinking it would be nice if the retired Chocobos were more than just an item in your bag to be used for breeding.

When Island Sanctuaries were first announced I thought it could be a good idea to be able to "release" retired Chocobos onto your island so they could just wander around or whatever. Now they have mentioned that minions can be released in a similar way. Plus the trailers for 6.2 have shown Chocobos running around the island so this has made me think it could be a fun addition for some. Anyone else think this could be a good idea or if it would even be possible to implement?

It's a neat idea, and may bring more people to try chocobo racing. I know I've not touched it in a while, and have barely done any of the races actually, and the prospect of seeing them running around the island would be interesting at the least.

thats a cute idea, but would make me kind of sad as ive already bred my perfect chocobo so i cant retire anymore and i already.... threw out the retired ones lol

Thankfully I kept mine packed away in my chocobo saddlebags, can't be too heavy for him. And maybe I'm lucky that my perfect stat chocobo has dressage for its hereditary skill. Get to do it all over again

I... rather like this idea. They don't necessarily have to do anything major but just make it sort of an aesthetic feature. It certainly keeps to the relaxing farm theme they want to encourage.

Fun Fact:
Before they went under due to the lock-downs, there was a Sci-Fi / Gaming themed bar and grill in my state that among their menu items was a Spicy Chocobo Sandwich meal.
