If no one else uses the LB on a pull I will use it as tank. Trying to keep it for bosses is the actual waste because bosses are vastly easier than pulling pile of mobs. I know it's a shared bar, if no ranged is using it on a pull I will use it as cooldown. How do you yell at people through chat?
I get more people use it incorrectly than ppl not knowing about it
The other day I had a Tank in the 81 dungeon use LB1 as their personal cooldown(ofc they didn't use cd's like rampart etc, but they could find the lb button)
We asked him nicely to save it for the dps but he just didn't want to listen.
Theres just a portion of people that doesn't want to learn or cummunicate in FF14, if you make it more clear there will still be people ignoring it, not aoe'ing etc.
Yes it should, melee lb3 is basically rubbish and terribly overrated. People die in Alliance raids all the time and if the boss isn't nearly dead, heal lb3 is a dps gain even on 2 dps, because it prevents weakness.
Good. If your group needs melee lb3 to beat Savage, you aren't ready for Savage.
Melee lb3 makes Savage fights 5-6 seconds shorter. That's it. It's barely over 1% of the bosses health. A single death or bringing non-meta jobs will lose you more and no one cares. If your run is messy, heal lb3 is better, so melee lb3 only really shines on low death runs where your group are all just bad at their job.
Heal lb3 is amazing and tank lb3 is underrated and also very strong, but dps limit breaks could easily be cut.
Reminds me of when my alliance and another alliance had to both use the Healer LB3 to save the last boss, hah.
At the minimum, I think, the LB button should be placed on your class' default bar automatically, just as the play guide is, whenever you create a new character or unlock a new class. I know a fair number of people that know about LB, but didn't realize they had to use Actions -> General to unlock the button.
My current savage group mostly reserved LB3 for Healers to save runs where a mistake or two collateraled into large scale death, otherwise, once we were all BiS P4S could be cleared before the second CC even started.

As tank I would honestly love if i could decide to use LB2 instead of LB3. 40% over 15 seconds is pretty insane.

Aside from doing a better job at letting players know what it is and where it is, the only other thing I wish they'd do is shorten the animation lock after the actual attack finishes.
That extra 2-3 seconds of my character standing still as I'm mashing the next GCD kind of makes me a cry a little on the inside.
Another thing they could do is make the Limit break executable by either clicking the limit break bars themselves or some separate button that's permanently binded to the primary hotkey off to the side. I don't know how this would work with controller though. This is coming from a mouse/keyboard PC player.
saying DPS LB3 in savage means your team is all bad while calling Healer LB3 good.Yes it should, melee lb3 is basically rubbish and terribly overrated. People die in Alliance raids all the time and if the boss isn't nearly dead, heal lb3 is a dps gain even on 2 dps, because it prevents weakness.

YOU ALL DIED SO YOU NEEDED THAT LB3! xD
a good run won't even touch healer LB
Savage would be objectively better if DPS LBs were cut. Or the way you earn LB gauge redesigned. Maybe then speeds will stop being a meme.

I didnt know how to use LB until I got to 5.3 extreme fight, Im a tank, you can figure out the rest kekw
Meanwhile, the JP version has a guide specifically for LB which show and mentions the difference between roles. Including where the button is located.

My favourite thing about Limit Break and Sprouts is how they think it's a personal resource and spam that big orange button as available. Unironic.
