As opposed to being a pretentious asshat who uses an awful lot of words to say "no" in the most disingenuous fashion possible.Quit assuming those of us who aren't fully on board are fully against an idea. If they ever go that route, it certainly won't be the end of the world.
Freedom to create and creativity are two different things. Everyone can create photos, but not everyone is actually good at it, especially when environmental restrictions come into play. Creativity was (allegedly) the main point of this thread and the example presented at the start is still so lacking in that respect. I find it interesting that there's been little to no effort since then to showcase what could be done. You could be showing this creativity and potentially wowing the devs into considering lifted restrictions, but you want to get into petty battles with those who don't agree with you, lobbing cliches about pots and kettles.

It wasn't a technical limitation. They intentionally made the "replica" versions so that the original items remained class locked. The idea was that you still couldn't use the originals outside of their established class, but at the time the Ishgard restoration event was the new big thing, and the replica recipes were incentive to engage with that content. It also allowed SE to "give players what they were asking for" without just removing the class requirements or handing it to them instantly.
How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
So that's a no to the challenge? So you're really just here to cry and whine and call me names?
I'm genuinely interested in seeing what people can come up with to support this idea. Show us what you got, aside from lame jokes and insults. There is a platform available to do what you want, yet you'll cower behind your opinions and personal attacks. Let's see what creativity this freedom can bring!

A perfect example of this between those two roles is the YoRha 55 sets. If I want to wear stockings, I have to be a tank whereas Dragoon simply gets the exact same shorts without stockings. Another example are the Makai shorts, which are, debatably, the best part of shorts in the game. Every role except Fending, Maiming and Scouting have access to them. Therefore, if I want a casual look for my Dragoon, I have to use the much less appealing Lady's Knickers or the aforementioned YoRha shorts, which are also not nearly as nice. Granted, we do have the Spring Shorts now but the point still stands. It's a silly restriction and doesn't foster creativity whatsoever. In fact, it promotes people to use certain third party tools that allow them to wear whatever they want. You'll often find that is a huge reason for their popularity. But then, the argument falls short when it comes to more passionate glamour users that want a bit more intricate design options with mix and matching. For example, a tank not being able to have the chestpiece - but with a much better dyeing pattern - that a Dragoon uses, even though it's literally the same item model. Or a caster not being able to wear the Late Allagan beret that comes with a built in microphone+earsets that the healer has, but there is literally nothing else in that game that looks like that.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
Nice try. Not getting drawn into that trap.So that's a no to the challenge? So you're really just here to cry and whine and call me names?

Be careful what you wish for, the devs will decide to answer this request by making '' glam restriction remover '' potions a thing that can only be bought in the Mogstaton. A 5-pack for 10.99!
But yeah, the restrictions suck. A lot of the fending glam would work just as well with dragoons. Most of the aiming glam barely makes sense for dancer on the other hand.
What trap? If you use mods, yeah, that's a dumb move on you, but you can put stuff on in the glamour dresser as the OP did. It's not the most elegant way, but it achieves what you want.
Look at you so lost in anger ...
I change my mind about the OP. They are the most creative person in this thread. They actually took the initiative to work with the confines of the existing system (which allows you to use whatever you want) to attempt to showcase their point. I applaud that. Others want to wait until they can actually step out of the inn to try things out.

Oh, the irony. What you're doing qualifies more as a "cowering behind opinions and personal attacks" than literally everything else in both threads regarding the glamour restrictions.
Sorry, not going to waste my time running dungeons just to combine a few sets in the Fitting room so I can show them to you.
I don't have to "wow" them as they're constantly doing it themselves and are obviously fully aware of it.
Glamour without restrictions* is long overdue!
If you think so too, help keep the thread going!
