Until the next expansion that releases a new housing district. So, to like... state the obvious, every lottery from here on out is going to be very long odds of winning.
Like... 150-1 odds or much worse.
Is this really the system you envisioned to 'solve' the housing problems? How exactly is this better than clicking a placard against FAR LESS than 150-1 odds.... or worse.
How about keep adding wards to every housing district until its nowhere close to 150 or more people bidding on a single plot. Whats the excuse... spaghetti database issues? I'm not asking for a plot for everyone but 150, or worse, bidding on a single lot... shouldnt be left as the standard either.
Welcome to reality, not everything is handed to you on a silver platter.
If you want a house, head over to materia, theres about 1000 free houses there.

Really? Do you object to high-end raids, then? Because people with low-end machines, really bad ping times, or just plain clumsy fingers (e.g., arthritis) are essentially locked out of that content.
Fact is, differences in what people 'get for their subscription" are inevitable.
"How much" a person gets is highly correlated withAccordingly, some people will always get more, and some people will always get less.
- their ability,
- the capability of their hardware and network connection,
- their level of interest in the various parts of the game, and
- the level of effort they put in.
It's true for many other kinds of subscriptions as well. Look at cable TV subscriptions, for example.

Man thats reaching, Square Enix does NOT need you to simp for them this hard jesus.Really? Do you object to high-end raids, then? Because people with low-end machines, really bad ping times, or just plain clumsy fingers (e.g., arthritis) are essentially locked out of that content.

Talk to me when the next raid tier has a .3% chance of even being able to enter the instance.
These are the arguments you can expect from people who got theirs and are just here to troll with third grader logic. The only response is to laugh at them.

There's a difference between content people can't access due to their personal situations, and content people can't access because it's (badly) designed to be inaccessible to everyone, period, regardless of their personal situation.Really? I've been saying for ages that there should, at the very least, be zero game features locked behind housing other than housing itself if it's gonna stay limited like it is forever. And at this point I sincerely doubt SE is actually going to put in the resources to actually create a housing system that everyone can access. So at the very least cross breed gardening and workshops should not be exclusive to housing.
So yeah. Trying and failing to do a raid because you lack the skill, capability, or internet connection isn't the same as trying and failing to get a house because there aren't enough of them and rng said no.
"Run when you have to, fight when you must, rest when you can." - Elyas Machera, The Wheel of Time

The moment everyone has a house, the feeling of having a house dies off.
I like it the way it is, they just need to re-enable the timer and drop it to 30 days.
Basically this, housing is unique because the supply is limited and you feel happy when you actually do end up getting one, if every single person had one, it would lose its "flavor"

Wholly and completely disagree. I like having a house because I like having a house. I do not care about literally any of my neighbors, of which I can count on one hand the number of whom I have actually seen in the last three years, and I would not care if everyone and their mother had access to housing in this game.
I don't expect SE to overhaul the system. If they planned to they'd have done it ages ago instead of slapping a bunch of ugly paint and weird bandaids on it. But I'm very much not on board with the "keep it limited so it's ***special***" thing

That's the stupid figure collector's argument.
If everyone has it, what I have loses its value.
I call it stupid then, I call it stupid now.
