Am I the only one who has no feelings for the Story of this Game anymore?

Before Endwalker I was interessed in Garlemald, the Ascians, the Ancients, maybe even the Twelve. I have read every single Text of every Quest, did Side Quests, Beast Tribes not for the Rewards, just for the Story. Explored Maps, Dungeons, Raids. I had the feeling I was part of Eorzea, I felt like Home.

Then came Endwalker and suddely all the Story before got trashed or changed akwardly. After that damage was done, after Garlemald got destroyed completly offscreen. All the Ascians, the Ancients got killed in the Name of Hydaelyn ... there is no Foe left. All that is left is the 0815 Scions.

The wannabe Lalafell Scion Krile Mayer Baldesion ... god I hate it already that she becomes a part in our live in the future

The forever over the WoL fawning, ear wiggeling Catboy Graha Tia, which we get forced on us. He is more worse as Zenos had ever been.

After Endwalker I lost the feeling of Home, that I am a part of this Story of Eorzea. I have stopped to do Side Quests and if I do them, then I skip all Cutscenenes, all Text. I don't care anymore for the Story of this Game.

The next Story will be just some shit Plot from the Past, which cannot be changed. It is like Watching a Train Wreck. I don't know how to get that old feeling back where I felt I belong to this Story. It is depressing and sad.
I know many loved Endwalker but i did not. G'raha Tia is now everywhere, fawning over us and we can't say that he should piss off and leave us alone. That ruins my Game even more. I would leave the Game but right now I have 9 Full Retainers, paid for nearly 80 Days, and nearly 80 Days paid Gametime. So what can I do?

A lot of the old mysteries have been confronted now and it made me question what was left. That was why they got Emet-Selch to talk about the mysteries that remain that we hadn't thought as much about. That made it better and probably saved the story from ending in despair.

What happens to Garlemald is shown in the trailer. If you haven't done all of the side quests, spoiler, Ascians are still alive in some side quests.

You are a part of the story of Eorzea if you consider doing little seasonal events or side quests as being part of it. We will start to feel part of something bigger, the whole star, Hydaelyn. Already we are in Thavnair doing beast tribes and eventually we will visit other islands or worlds.

Rather than forcing yourself to play something you don't like, why not find another game?

The 6.0 MSQ was entertaining and I enjoyed it overall, but I haven't even finished all the 6.1 MSQ. It's just a chore on my list to get done before the patch.

I feel like this whole "New Adventure" thing is what Yoshida wanted, not me. The Ascian/Garlean plot was finally going somewhere interesting and I wanted a satisfying conclusion, not a rushed one to get it out of the way.

Man, I really hope those around you, who love and care for you, do not employ this utterly silly answer whenever you have a lull in your life or make a few bad decisions. I have been here since day 1 of version 1 and as excited and full of hope I was when Dalamud came crashing down on our heads is as strong as how disinterested I am in the choices SE has made over the course of esp EW.

If you really care about something, you stick with it, even if its "just" a game (heavens forbid someone has real feelings for their hobby). And part of the caring is voicing criticisms just as much as it is gushing about how amazing something is.

There's a decent amount of people who feel the same way. You're certainly not alone - and like clockwork, a handful of bitter individuals will likely rush to tell you to just quit instead of providing feedback to outline your concerns.

Endwalker killed much of my enthusiasm for the story moving forward. Much like World of Warcraft mishandled certain characters and factions, I firmly believe that FFXIV has done the same. As such, I'm currently putting more time and effort into other games at the moment and a few of the upcoming MMO's have piqued my curiosity. Sadly they're still a year or two out.

and suggesting she take up something else IS valid suggestion if she doesn't enjoy what she's doing.
disinterest is not the same as dislike.

Besides, it's not like she can't come back to 14 anymore after she tries other things.

We're still getting Ascian/Ancient stuff though. Course it's coming in the form of the 8 man raid. We also will be getting more Garlemald since we haven't gone back to Julius and the twins yet. Don't even have a hint that we will get them in 6.2 so unless they do a four lords type of thing where we finish what many believe to be the trial storyline with the void stuff and then circle back to other things we could be getting more Garlean stuff this patch. It would be surprising to ignore it til 6.3 or later. Unless it's meant to be part of the real build up for 7.0 then I'll gladly wait for the small shake up in the predictability of the schedule.

What you feel here is the realization that you cared more about the game and story than the devs did.
Ever since they said "we didn't realize you cared so much" in that life letter, I've been there too.

They rushed the ending and ruined a lot of great setups by previous expansions they might have explored. At this point, I'm feeling mostly disappointment about what could have been and hopelessness about what might come.

Don't enjoy the story of the themepark MMO? Just quit! I thought this was an interactive game, not a TV show. You can like the gameplay and hate (parts) of the story.

It's funny because i think about Shadowbringers and Endwalker that way. Shadowbringers mostly took place in another realm, almost like it's filler, ignoring a lot of established stuff. Then Endwalker dumped the war against Garlemald storyline. How much does Yoshida hate Stormblood? Or they just didn't want to continue with it. Shows you how important plot threats can become. Not to mention all of the bad storytelling. There is a reason we have a huge thread about those.

For me the worst it did is it killed all momentum and stakes. I don't know, but i might become a cutscene & dialouge skipper next exp if it's this bad. "Why not quit?" Because i love the gameplay and playing with my friends.
