Man, I really hope those around you, who love and care for you, do not employ this utterly silly answer whenever you have a lull in your life or make a few bad decisions. I have been here since day 1 of version 1 and as excited and full of hope I was when Dalamud came crashing down on our heads is as strong as how disinterested I am in the choices SE has made over the course of esp EW.

If you really care about something, you stick with it, even if its "just" a game (heavens forbid someone has real feelings for their hobby). And part of the caring is voicing criticisms just as much as it is gushing about how amazing something is.

too bad she doesn't like or care about any of those anymore.

and suggesting she take up something else IS valid suggestion if she doesn't enjoy what she's doing.
