No this thread is discussing legit problems with the healer role that too much of the OF construes as “toxic elistists hate everyone but week one savage players”, I can’t believe that the main developer of a game that ripped our role to shreds saying “lol go play ultimate” is not a universally decried comment, the healer role is dying and the overly casual playerbase who don’t do damage is helping that along

We just want our role to feel rewarding and fulfilling and getting basically told to put up or shut up by yoshi isn’t really a great feeling

As a WoW refugee, i find that FF suffers from the opposite. No elitism, but people who will oppose any form of challenge or engagement in the name of turbo casuals.

Some people dared to make a few jokes after having in-depths discussions for almost 190 pages. How outrageous! No fun allowed on the OF, make a single joke over the course of almost 190 pages and everything you ever said will immediately become worthless and you get brushed aside as an immature elitist.

Several people have provided a lot of reasons why the current state of healers is unacceptable, gave good examples of what could be improved and how to avoid it affecting the more casual crowd and you're free to read those posts. Trying to paint all of us as sweaty elitist tryhards that want everything to be ultimate on the basis of a few people poking a bit of fun after having been ignored by the devs for over 3 years and counting isn't going to work.

The issues with healers have been present in this game for years. The complaints have been present for years. From casual healers and raid healers alike. Healers are allowed to express their dissatisfaction with their main role, just like tanks and DPS are. Adding additional DPS options/rotations will have no effect on the “pure healers” or those who don’t even participate in the role, so not sure why you’re so upset about us voicing our opinion.
