I agree.
But do people want all the characters to be considered owners, or would it be enough that one owns and the others are tenants? And if the latter, is the tenancy automatic, and does it count against the total number of allowed tenants (currently 3)?
Ideally, since we are only allowed one house per account per world, I would want all my 8 characters on that world to potentially have owner status, but at my discretion, and at the same time be able to give all my spouse's 5 characters tenant status. But this would take the most amount of work on SE's part of all the options.
Yes all 8 should have owner rights.. But its Se if we get this it will be friending alts offline.. which means all your alts would have to join a fc in order to friend them, then you can make the, tenants.. this the kinda fix SE would do...I agree.

Perhaps, I don't know. All we do know for sure is that SE definitely doesn't want us being able to friend our own characters and I was just offering a possible explanation as to why (both times it happened they released emergency patches within days of it becoming common knowledge, while normal bug fixes are held up and rolled into the next maintenance patch).
It doesn't appear to have broken anything for the people that did it 4 years ago (who can still benefit from it by mailing their alts and add them to their house) and I was just thinking that from SE point of view even one person who wouldn't buy an extra retainer each month is lost money for them.
I know I'd personally still continue to pay for additional retainers if this became a thing again, but I can't speak for everyone.

Except you can only have three tenants, and I have 8 characters on my primary home world.
Well if this was why then SE wouldn't allow you to have mroe then 1 char i na fc.. since you can move items between chars via fc chest... Hense alot of people having private fc's just to share items.. Most people are more intrested in letting there alts mend or use the material seller in there houses..I know for me it wouldnt stop extra retainers since i have 3 lvl 80_ alts whos retainers all look like this https://imgur.com/a/xB3UBp7Perhaps, I don't know. I've paid for max retainers for probly 3 1/2 years lol i pay $28.99 a month
Pretty sure that trick was patched years ago?Right now, the only way to have your alt characters use the same house as your main is this:
Login, teleport, use task manager to close game before it finishes casting, log other character, friend your alt and relog to alt to accept.
There needs to be a better way than doing that. So why not if 1 of your characters get a house, all your other characters can help decorate that house automatically, even transfer ownership to main if you wanted too.
