Dramatic? No, freaking stupid is the word.

But at least it proved it's a good thing for the writers that tugging peoples heartstrings is so pathetically easy.

...the writers who created that ending for ARR were also fans of Game of Thrones..they've even SAID as much in interviews..that the ARR ending was inspired by the Red Wedding.
