Especially now that the teasing of new characters and storylines hasn't led to much, my anticipation for the future main story is at an all time low. They should know better than to say such things without having any intention of following through with it.

Icing ruins doughnuts. Cinnamon sugar is the one acceptable coating, preferably with the doughnut straight out of the fryer and still warm, unless it's a good jam-filled one (brown and doughy, not the gluggy yellow sort) in which case plain sugar is acceptable.

In an attempt to be less blatantly off-topic I would like to offer that hamburgers and doughnuts have both existed in some form since at least the 1800s and possibly earlier.

I'd say that was fighting words but if it's like real cinnamon and sugar not the powdery crap that dunkin used I'm all for it!!

Yes..yes it would.

Not really, I don't have the confidence in the current writing direction when it comes to the Void given how quick they were to do away with the other elements of the game that I enjoyed prior to the hasty conclusion of their respective plotlines. I'm tired of this happening to Ivalice/Bozja, the Garleans, and the Ancients. I don't want to see it done to the Void as well.

As of now my plans for 6.2 are to do the raid quests and see if the trial series is worth checking out. Unless some 6.2 MSQ quests are required to unlock it I might skip them entirely in favor of playing literally any other video game. Following that, the available content for me to do is either the EX if the weapon looks good and maybe the once-a-week grind for new raid gear, assuming we don't get yet another greek inspired set. If the next PVP set is in the same vein as the Archfiend Armor, I might pursue it.

I have no plans to do the Hildibrand Relic given the numerous other options I have for glowing weapon glamours on account of the continued push of "light-hearted" content and my decision of whether or not to pursue Variant/Criterion dungeon is reliant on the choice of NPC that will accompany us and any rewards the content might offer. I have no plans on doing the gatherer beast tribe unless I see that it has decent rewards associated with it, but given that the last one's reward was the Great Serpent of Ronka mount, I have very limited expectations.

At least despite the content drought in Shadowbringers there were hopes and stakes for the cast that I was somewhat intrigued by and far more to look forward to. Right now FFXIV is of lower priority to me than Fire Emblem, Diofield Chronicle and even Valkyrie Elysium. The later months of the year bring with them Tactics Ogre Reborn and the re-release of FFVII: Crisis Core. I see no reason why I should give FFXIV more attention than these games given the present state of the story and content.

Since you must have started playing more recently you either aren't aware of or don't care that back during 2.0 the dev team got told to never again make a spendy cutscene that came close to the likes of what you see post T12 fight. The one where you learn what really happened with Bahamut. So, what's cheaper showing off a small animation of juice dripping off of a burger or giving us another expansion trailer level cutscene?

A burger is, ultimately, a meat-and-salad roll – not a really shocking and modern (or inherently unhealthy) thing even if it does feel a little jarring. But it does logically seem like the sort of thing that would cater well to students and teachers wanting a quick meal they can pick up and eat on the way to class. Also, if the whole point of Archon loaf is to stuff all your food groups into a single portable meal, then a burger achieves much the same thing while actually being edible.

I don't remember the rest of the food but they had a pretty big spread of things across the table, and again when we had dinner with the older Scions.

We also give a group of students some tea, an omelet to a highlander hyur lady and baked lobster to a cat boy. What I was trying to point out is those who don't like said scene in the WoL's room make it out to be the only thing the group is eating. That everything at the Last Stand is unhealthy fast food. Archon loaf and it's replacement from the Studium quest are only to be meal replacements. Still doesn't help that until the Last Stand was built that most Sharlyean cuisine was bland as heck since they took the academic route and chose to leave out flavor. Flavor is at the heart of the Studium quest argument.

If anything Thavnairian food seems to be the fatty foods if Estinien’s lines after getting spun by the last boss in the 6.1 dungeon is anything to go by. Since he blames it as to why he's unable to use any of his jumps to get himself out of it.

That scene cost nothing more than the time to code it. All cut scenes (outside of a few in ARR) are generated 'in game'. It's why Thancred has that wonky stutter when he climbs steps in Camp Drybone during at least two cut-scenes prior to your encounter with Ifrit.

All I want to see the animation budget allocated to the most plot-relevant cutscenes as opposed to slice of life ones along with better crafted character development. There really shouldn't be any sort of pushback against this. I just want to see things improve. Please let them do something meaningful with this current cast or please retire these characters if that isn't the case.
