The hatred of a character eating a Hamburger is the Funniest thing ever on these Forums.

Yeah they act like the Scions let alone Sharlyean only eat cheeseburgers and coffee. When what we see at that meal in the WoL's room isn't even all that the Last Stand serves. When your country's biggest contribution to food is a fish loaf. And it's also known to be the most tasteless food out there it'd be odd to have the opposite be thought of as going to BK everyday. The WoL is shown eating two soups/stews one in ShB one in SB, the spread that included the sandwiches in ShB, anf the meal with Aymeric up to that point. And a few drinks shared before the attack on Doma with Hien and Gosetsu. So it's not like we're always buying a dozen of Krispy Kream doughnuts and inhaling them down.

A burger is, ultimately, a meat-and-salad roll – not a really shocking and modern (or inherently unhealthy) thing even if it does feel a little jarring. But it does logically seem like the sort of thing that would cater well to students and teachers wanting a quick meal they can pick up and eat on the way to class. Also, if the whole point of Archon loaf is to stuff all your food groups into a single portable meal, then a burger achieves much the same thing while actually being edible.

I don't remember the rest of the food but they had a pretty big spread of things across the table, and again when we had dinner with the older Scions.

There was pizza , donuts, cookies (the one Alisaie took looked like a chocolate chip one), tea and macaroons as well. Quite possibly cupcakes also.

Yeah that Archon loaf seems just plain nasty. It's why the cul/alch studium quests has the quest giver wanting to make a new better tasting yet just as nutritious one... which I need to finish those quests >.<

Icing ruins doughnuts. Cinnamon sugar is the one acceptable coating, preferably with the doughnut straight out of the fryer and still warm, unless it's a good jam-filled one (brown and doughy, not the gluggy yellow sort) in which case plain sugar is acceptable.

In an attempt to be less blatantly off-topic I would like to offer that hamburgers and doughnuts have both existed in some form since at least the 1800s and possibly earlier.

In an attempt to be less blatantly off-topic I would like to offer that hamburgers and doughnuts have both existed in some form since at least the 1800s and possibly earlier.

And the game isn't better off for their inclusion in the MSQ nor for the amount of money they likely took out of the animation budget - especially when to this day we have no in-game visuals of the Sundering or Hydaelyn's transformation apart from fan creations. I played Endwalker expecting an apocalypse with cosmic elements and a major focus on the gods and instead I got burgers, "thou shalt walk," and Dynamis with not even 30 minutes of Hydaelyn and Zodiark combined.

That scene cost nothing more than the time to code it. All cut scenes (outside of a few in ARR) are generated 'in game'. It's why Thancred has that wonky stutter when he climbs steps in Camp Drybone during at least two cut-scenes prior to your encounter with Ifrit.

This is just from observation, but I think there are two levels of cutscene, even though graphics-wise they both use the normal gameplay models: one is entirely in-game with the characters only doing standard emotes and the world looking however it looks in live gameplay, and the devs just have control over camera angles and music; and "real cutscenes" where the characters can be doing custom animations and dramatic things, and this may (I'm not certain) be the only type of cutscene where they can change weather or time of day.

I think this is what determines whether the cutscenes show up in the Unending Journey or not.

Somebody did have to put the time into animating Raha with his escaping hamburger. Maybe they budget for it from the start, maybe it's a "we have finished creating all the necessary animations for the story and have a spare week before the deadline, let's throw in some fun moments".

I'd say that was fighting words but if it's like real cinnamon and sugar not the powdery crap that dunkin used I'm all for it!!


Although that donut in the Scene looked like a cake donut so frosting goes well with cake ^____^
