While you were studying the blade, I was learning about better recycling methods from Elidibus.
If a steamers persona hinges on the very idea of whether a small number of extremely vocal people agree with them -- and not disagree then they either need to reconsider how they use their platform to express views or just grow a spine.
I'm sorry but if a steamer wholeheartedly feels the need to suppress themselves or their views because of this then they should probably steer clear of the internet in general. There's a certain point where this line of thinking -- That if someone disagrees with you then they are attacking you, or your point of view, then this just turns into an irrational victim complex.

I don't care much for streamers, though I've certainly heard all manner of horror stories. If someone such as myself is sent creepy comments on a frequent basis for liking the Ascians or Garleans I can't imagine what sort of bile someone much more famous receives by comparison.
Again, Zepla changed her opinion because she got a f*ckton of backlash for liking Emet. So did Xandrii, btw. Their livelihood depends on their viewers, and the fact that their viewers are not able to look at the facts of the story critically and actually, ya know, say "Hey, what Venat did was genocide and very much not cool" [which objectively it was genocide as in the wiping out of Ancient culture, whether you like it or not] it creates problems for the personalities that disagree with the more rabid Venat simps' takes. So it’s funny to me that people are using streamers reactions to things, but not including the fact:
1. Pretty much all of the mentioned streamers liked the story in EW and don’t share a hatred for Venat
2. The reactions of people like Xepla to the big ole thread that you and several others came from was not in line with those now quoting them
3. Several have in the past argued the streamers are unimportant when they express points that they disagree with until they find a way to fit it into their narrative
And finally
4. Are doing all of this when it’s irrelevant to the actual topic of the thread.
Whatever your feelings are about EW or the current topic, these are objectively bad arguments.
r/e point 1 streamers can't say much cause they'll get attacked by weirdos who are way too personally invested in the game. You can see this even a few weeks ago where Asmon had his first taste of the Great Community, because he didn't stream msq for as long as people would've liked. He said he doesn't wanna feel pressured to play X or Y game and people were being weird about it, and later backpedalled so he wouldn't lose xiv viewers. Or when he polled what game he should play, poll responded Fall Guys, and then the xiv players proceeded to have a meltdown and he released a whole separate video talking about again, how people are "being weird" about the game and he "feels pressured" to play it. Dude's in lv 63 stormblood lmao so hasn't even touched upon a single piece of "divisive" content, like the latter half of SB and near enough all of EW. that's not to mention how Zepla expressed distaste in the EW msq and then the xiv community again had a meltdown and she then circled around to doing the expected thing and not questioning anything and just FoRgInG AhEaDSo it’s funny to me that people are using streamers reactions to things, but not including the fact:

When was this stated? I've never seen anyone (Zepla's fans or anyone else) give people crap for liking Emet, since...you know...Emet is an incredibly popular character. Zepla's latest opinions likewise doesn't seem forced or insincere, so I'd like to know where this is coming from.

Also, I see the usual posters have managed to derail another one of Aveyond's threads. Incidentally, I was reading 5ch and saw a comment from a JP player who said almost exactly what I did: "What is an adventurer when he works for an organization? I would think that you would be at best a mercenary, right?" Gods, I would love to be a mercenary. Please release me, let me go. For I don't love you (Scions) anymore.
We must be reading 2 entirely different versions of the Official Forums -- Because as far as I am aware this seems to be a mutual responsibility with the original poster themselves derailing the original topic with 1 of many baseless takes. Something that evidently seems to be an ongoing trend. You're not brand friendly. :P

Yeah, this is silly, when I've taken it upon myself multiple times to try to rerail the thread after Aveyond HIMSELF derailed it by veering into "streamers get harassed, therefore something-something I'm right about the Scions needing to be replaced".You're not brand friendly. :P

Like, you guys all came in here to try to bail him out to complain and make claims about streamers, when that still has NOTHING to do with his topic, and in no way validates the topic's claim.
