Well when it comes to twitch chat look no further than the number of WoW streamers that played the game in the last year and a half, nearly all of them have had this experience. I believe this behavior is not conducive to an environment where the story can be looked at from a balanced point of view. If things continue the way they do then players like me will leave in search of better stories with casts stronger than the scions.

Already Diofield Chronicle has released artwork of (what is believed) to be nearly all of their major playable characters and I am excited that there is a balanced mix of options from the Republic, Kingdom, and Empire. It has successfully found a way to cater to a variety of tastes with a cast that has diverse backgrounds and looks. I am very much looking forward to it and will probably be playing more of that than 6.2 depending on what direction FFXIV goes in.

No it isn't, because you're still expecting people to take your word for who said what and when. And in a chat for a different game, which is not inherently representative of FFXIV.

I watched Asmongold play through the story up til SB, never saw anyone "expecting" a certain reaction out of him. The only incident I can think of is his fans expecting him to play the game he put up as the title, rather than reacting to stuff and then signing off.

You're trying to argue that because a lot of fans react negatively when other people don't like the same things they like, then that somehow "proves" that the people who actually don't like it are a silenced majority. So basically, you're still trying to make the argument that "silenced majorities exist, therefore all of my opinions represent a silenced majority".

There was a concerning event where Rich's sponsors were contacted over his views on the story's factions, Pyromancer regularly expressed his dissatisfaction with people trying to lead him into a certain reaction for upcoming story events, and the same occurs with Asmongold who has grown increasingly weary of dealing with that sort of behavior.

If those who think differently are regularly pushed out or silenced in such a manner, then the nature of the remaining commentary will be open to questions as to whether it truly comes from a genuine place or not. Thankfully since I am no such public figure I do not need to follow along with the opinions of these other players and can express myself freely without fear of reprisal.

You're asserting these things as true without backing them up.
When was the incident that occurred with Rich? What were his views? Did his chat say anything or was it an outside source?
When did Pyromancer indicate his dissatisfaction? What did he say? What did his chat say? Where did this occur, how many were involved?
When did asmongold express his weariness over this behavior? Are there any clips, videos, etc, if him saying these things? Does he say this occurs regularly, or did he mention it offhandedly?
