Opening of housing on new worlds

For the record, Oceanic took from 2 to 3 months to open their housing.

What gives this only took 3 weeks ? Home world transfer has not even been opened yet, and most people did not manage to make an FC there or were too busy leveling.

This is screwing up everyone as people didnt even get a single chance to make fcs and to move there to get some communities going.

Housing opening on new worlds always has been multiple months, how is this any different and in particular how is it fair ?

While it's nice it's not a quarter long wait, but opening it on 28th July is WAY to soon. The worlds is not even a month old by then so no FC won't be able to get a house. They should've waited until 6.2 in august.

Are you missing the point that the server won't be even 30 day old by the time sales commence? No FC will be able to get a house when it opens. It's what people are frustrated about.

Perhaps SE could start the lottery only in the personal wards and delay it in the FC wards by 6 weeks? I don't know if they have that level of control to turn the lottery on and off by ward.

If they can't, then delaying it for all wards until 6 weeks after home world transfer resumes would make sense.

Or it may be they want to reward the players who got FCs started fast for new players. Those FCs would still rely on gil being transferred from other servers. Even the million gil bonus won't be getting paid out to characters created day one until the first entry period has ended.

Delay until end of august with the launch of 6.2, that'd be fair I think

No one until any FC reach 30 days old. Thing is anyone that create a new char there and made a FC since day one has a 2 week advantage. Not the end of the world just quite different compared to what used to be.
