Normaly, after the start of the server transfer service on new worlds they lock the housing for some months (i think it's 3 months) to give plenty time for people there to make some gil. Also, if you move to a new world having another house, you can be compensated with some gil (if you don't demolish the house) and you can take some furnishings with you (not all stuff, but...). The same goes for apartments. So, you can go to a new server with some gil to begin with the savings for houses there and have a decent time to make enough after transfering.

Here's the thing.. I have expenses. Dyes mostly. Also, I don't craft. I think a medium is like 25 million gil or something like that. I have (had) 10 million.

crafting is not the only way to make gil. You can use only the MB to make some decent gil (buying cheaper and reseling for a bit more), classic "drop and sell", etc. There are some tutorials about them They work nicely in new servers.

But, this is up to you anyway. If you transfer you will need to put effort for the money and this can be annoying sometimes. I understand.
If you are well stablished, there is trully no reason to move unless you want to go for the challenge...

I'm moving my alts just to make money on them and maybe start my own FC. I never was a leader and maybe it's time for it after all those years jumping from FC to FC and helping them here and there on the way...

A medium is like 15-20, or used to be before the lottery system.

I used to make a lot of gil cluster farming. I burned it all. I actually had about 20 million before. Frankly, even getting like 5 million sounds impossible, well keeping 5 million. These pure color dyes are killing me. Maybe I could make the gil, I just wouldn't want to risk losing a house forever, if I'd have no chance. Doubtful I will ever get anything larger than a small on my current server for sure though.
