Thank you for being the first person in the thread to bring up actual problems with gear swapping and not statements like

i dont want a new game i want everything the exact same way ffxi was

I can definitely see the downsides of gear swapping but when people are only looking at the negative of an issue, they can easily let something that might be helpful pass them by. Not saying that gear swapping is one of those topics, but it doesn't change the fact that not talking about something doesn't make it go away. I'd rather have an informed community than one that blindly follows their hatred to make decisions.
