I enjoy shlock as much as the next guy but let's not pretend it's high brow entertainment. Same situation. Also, equating that sales are a sign of a good product is a terrible argument for obvious reasons, lol.Ahh, opinions are like...I hope you know the saying
See, here's the thing, those are all opinions you're trying to masquerade as "facts." I can have opinions, too. And mine are the polar opposite. I love the balance between the jobs, and there are certain ones I still prefer over others because there are still differences in the details, nor are they "brain dead" by any stretch of a reasonable imagination.
The upside is I do have actual facts to support my opinions. Namely the steadily increasing average playerbase with each passing expansion, which includes EW as the top so far. Want to destroy something? Listen to the rabid vocal minority and fix what isn't broken. The playerbase far and away loves EW and its design. Keep going with it and ignore the trolls.

Yeah...Blizzard and WoW broke records with their WoD, BfA and Shadowlands expansions. It ended up ruining their reputation more each time, which broke some other records that they are probably not too proud of. lol So yeah, sales do not always indicate how good (or bad) a game is.

Yep, broke records with expansion release sales and then broke records again with plunges in players subscribed shortly after.Yeah...Blizzard and WoW broke records with their WoD, BfA and Shadowlands expansions. Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Except I wasn't talking sales. I'm talking metrics of active players. Both the peaks and the typical mid-expansion troughs have steadily risen with each xpac, and EW has continued that trend. We have significantly more ACTIVE PLAYERS now than we did during the HW days, which is considered a top xpac. Please stop cherry picking bad metrics because you can't admit your opinion is far and away the minority.
