Building a better Alphinaud

I know that it would probably be the ideal scenario for you if I were to simply go away and stay silent on the direction that this story has headed, down the path of comfort characters and high school anime vibes, but sadly given that I still have power to voice a stance against it, I will. This is not up to the standards of a decent Final Fantasy story, and is about as far removed from the quality of Shadowbringer as possible.

If there were any decent competitors or recent new releases I would be playing that instead of this. The reprieve afforded to them by Covid is ending soon, and with it will come various reasons for me to leave and potentially not come back. This story disrespected its own foundations, did nothing of substance with its cast over the last 10 years, and I, having seen what makes or breaks various stories, am supposed to simply "not think about things too much" while others sing praises of it to no end. I see things for what they are. This is not a direction that is sustainable for Season 2, let alone another expansion when combined with the state of content and gameplay.

What on earth is Alphinaud supposed to do in the void anyway? Can anyone give me a reason as to what he could possibly contribute there?

Also let's fix a few things here. EW isn't up to YOUR standard for what FF should be when it comes to story. Not THE standard. You then claim there are no decent competitors...yet this whole time you've used other examples from other games on why EW is so bad. So are those now not competitors...or what? You need to be consistent. You THEN claim nothing substantial has been done with the cast in 10 years ie the whole games life...bit you then say ShB was quality...you've said as well about how much better the days of ARR n HW were. But now that's not the case and nothing substantial has been done...again where tf is the consistency?

Next, I for one have not told you not to think to much. Also you don't see thing for what they are. You see things for what YOU THINK they are. Again your views aren't simply correct because their yours...

The state of content...seems to be going in a very good direction once 6.2 hits and I'm all here for it myself. Criterion is gonna be a crap ton of fun same with the new CC season.

Also what is Alphi suppose to do in the Void? I think a better question would be, what exactly is anyone going to be able to do there. What will we encounter there and will there be repercussions for going there?

Also to address the below post of yours...Graha isn't making advances at us dude...this old edgy edge lord bit your on is odd man. Maybe play dark soul or something for that itch? Or maybe Vindictus if you want to stick to MMOs

I do not consent to the advances of the likes of G'raha Tia. Nor do I place much stock in the apparent "care" of the 2nd most destructive character in the game.

There is competition already. Go out and play them. What...do they need to surpass FFXIV to be worth looking at?
Besides that there is NO shortage of other games to play. And before you or someone else comes at me with nonsense about me trying to silence you and push you out of FFXIV, Ive been supportive...Several Times I have told you to go take a break and play something you actually enjoy.
FFXIV isnt for you right now. Maybe later it will be.

Graha gives me obsessive stalker vibes, but maybe that's because I'm an introvert by nature. lol I liked him a lot more before they put his soul into a young body. They didn't push...whatever the heck they did to him so hard before that. Sometimes it is best to NOT go full anime.
