Writing against the cause of us is disingenius. As suporter of monarchy in the game kingdom can use the royal we. There is a big amount of the player who is not happy with the story. We do not know number or have the proof but it is big we can feel it. The story must have the naunce so that the good guy is look as bad and the bad guy is look as good. Also the good guy must sacrifice friends so that can know the suffering like the Game of the Thrones. We will tell the writer when we happy the hero character has suffer enough to pay for crime of resisting our cause.

We try to explain the problem on the forum on all of the thread at the same time. But we are always under the attack and pressure by the Twitter crowd and the Reddit crowd and the Wattpad crowd and the Pinterest crowd and the Whatisup crowd and the TickTock crowd and the forum paladins who want to defend the Yoshi's Island Sanctuary due to his crepe personality cult. It is like the university student with the expensive coffee and the burger and the pretend progressive idea.

It is like the comic where the people say this is our myspace and the other people come in to invade the myspace and take over. This is what happened with the Garlemald from the Eorzea who tried to take the land. You must agree to agree even if you disagree. Please is for sake of correcting the course of the story to one where the Ascian and the Garlemald and the Fordola and the Hein rejoin world and be hero of next expansion to replace the Scion.

Otherwise will be like the failed Warcraft direction with the Sylphinas and burning of Teldrassil and game will go extinct because we do not like. I just don't really agree with this claim I've seen that the forums are so horrible as a place to gather feedback, so SE is justified in ignoring it. When other platforms can be similar or worse in terms of feedback. Even if the forums were as bad as some claim, I don't believe that is justification in potentially ignoring the entire platform!

Also, speaking of Twitter, just the other day, I saw some questionable hashtags trending, it was pretty funny actually.

Sure, a lot of it is, but the issue here is that Theodric's argument paints the group that disagrees with him as part of the "Twitter mob" or whatever, without specification. Twitter (and all social media) is used by a wide range of people with every belief on the spectrum and arguments both informed and ignorant. Also, just pointing and essentially claiming "Typical Twitter logic" is itself an argument that people on Twitter make.

I think that's rather disingenuous. There's a big difference between requesting more of a common aesthetic and one a large portion of players can relate to...and embracing the sort of niche aesthetics that Twitter dwellers fawn over.

But, hey, if you want FFXIV to go the same way as WoW in regards to stripping away all mention of 'male' and female' in favour of 'body 1' and 'body 2' then be my guest. I don't think more than a very vocal minority desire that, though.

I don't think anyone's asking for gender to be removed from the game entirely. When I brought up trans characters earlier, it was an offhand suggestion about Y'shtola having transitioned from male to female while she was studying with Matoya, and I don't believe anyone else has mentioned them specifically (as opposed to part of the LGBT grouping). Saying that people want to remove all mention of "male" and "female" is not based on any argument in this thread or that I've seen.

You should really figure out if you’re arguing this point from a “minority in need of representation” perspective or an “underserved majority” perspective. Trying to use both arguments at the same time just makes you come across as disingenuous.

Good on WoW, btw. Would be cool if FFXIV could do that, too.

The thing is, they've already gestured in the direction of a lot of LGBT topics, just never actually committed. For example, in the original Japanese dialogue, Haurchefant is clearly propositioning the Warrior of Light regardless of gender. (It's something along the lines of "You look as gorgeous as ever! It's really cold out there, do you want to come warm up in my room?" and then he immediately drops the subject when Alphinaud pipes up. The English version just has him say that he's happy to see you and he hopes you're warm enough.) I believe in the writing team's ability to add, for example, a male knight who Haurchefant had a fling with and not make it offensive. It would literally need a sentence or two.

I see my decision to place the above two posters on ignore proved to be the correct one. I appreciate the heads up from a friend letting me know that false, defamatory comments are being made and words are being twisted deceptively.

All I'll say on the matter is that I've never suggested that the development team deserve to be harassed.

Whatever weird issue certain posters have with me or my posts, please stop dragging it into every other thread and keep the conversation related to the actual subject of this thread - Alphinaud.
