I know that square has been against adding plate armour to casters and robes to tanks.

2014 they put an answer that sounded like this

Q22: Are there any plans to remove restrictions on the glamour system (unable to glamour gear that the job/class cannot equip)?

A22: Unfortunately, there’s a certain image that we would like to sustain for FINAL FANTASY XIV. We feel that it would confuse the new players if they see casters in heavy armour and tanks in mage gear.

What's odd is that now we see tanks in bunny gears, bathing suits and what not.
they have loosened their restrictions by quite a bit. so maybe now they can remove it all?

I'm still waiting for the normal eye patches for casters we asked for at that time.

Some more formal wear, both modern and fantasy/period-piece.
(I would really love if at some point in the MSQ there was some kind of formal event that would give use an excuse to dress up whether it's an event we're invited to or are crashing.)

The post started out as add Rikku glam to game and more than 90% replying with other requests, I think in all honesty you could make an entirely new thread for those. But I would like the Rikku gear from 10-2 added as well. Even the Raine Gear.

I think these outfits are an excellent idea. They really should be introducing more sets from previous final fantasy characters.
