Please give us instant housing

Change up the wards all you want, go ahead and add a few more wards, it will never be enough.

All this does is limit us and make tons and tons of more players unhappy. We all want a house. Apartments are great but we are very limited to them and seeing others have things we don't make us upset knowing we can't get them. It's not really fair to the rest of the community when only the lucky few get it. FFXI was capable of allowing everyone to get their own apartment while also being able to decorate it and it was a MUCH older game. No one really cares about our neighbors, please let us have our own houses and allow us to upgrade them through achievement or something.

I can't get a personal house as I'm bidding against 300+ people while I'll soon never be able to upgrade my FC house because the wards are being switched to provide more personal houses...

I would like a real fix than just a bandaid that's so temporary...

If we had instance housing, we could be like INSTANTLY all be happy. We could INSTANTLY teleport to our houses after INSTANTLY getting them due to no bidding. It just be instant, you know?

While on the topic of pointing out problems and solutions, we should be able to edit our titles to fix our typos. Idk, the idea just occurred to me. Not that I ever made such a thing.

Many of us have been asking for improvements to the current instanced housing system for years. It would be nice to hear from SE why it will or will not happen.

And agreed, being able to correct titles for our threads would be a nice QOL improvement. But as serious as the topic is intended to be, try to look at the light side: the typo has brought a few smiles to a forum that has been mostly doom and gloom of late.

I've heard this trolling response before and all I gotta say is... who calls an apt a house? You gotta be lieing to yourself to call your own apt a house... like you didn't want to feel that poor or something.
I'm also very sure you know people want bigger spaces to decorate, yard and all.

I'm sure people have been, but I don't think that's a reason for people to stop asking for it though. Annoy them enough with kindness and eventually, they'll give up and give it if not finally answer us.

Oh, I'm not mad at all about the trolling. It's a tad disappointing to have my forum trolled but you are also right, it brought some laughs so I'll take it. It is what it is. I was trying to be humorous with my edit too but oh well ^.^;;

Any day you can bring a smile to someone's face is a good day. Your topic isn't reduced at all by the clearly unintentional error as the meaning is perfectly clear to us - but it brings joy and giggles. If anything, it becomes a positive thread that carries more weight.

Instanced housing would solve so many problems, and the ward system doesn't have to be dismantled to provide it. Additionally, Island Sanctuary should really be putting to bed the "we can't do instancing because servers are hard to come by" community invented excuse. And I stress that "invented".

I am so tired of people trying to come up with inventive ways to redistribute what we have. Take houses off players who do 'x'...
('...and give one to me', presumably)

I am so tired of people inventing excuses for Square. This house shortage has been going on for as long as I've been playing the game (HW). The least the devs could do is come out and make a statement on the state of housing and the reasoning behind it.

The lottery is just rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic. The present system doesn't give EU and NA players enough houses, the lottery is not going to improve supply and supply is the issue.

Island sanctuary proves they had resourses available that could give every single character a private instance, that's a lot more instances than would be needed for every interested player to get a private house.
