id be willing to bet that +crit works like plus enmity, every 10 points is 1%Criticals hits yield 50-100% more damage normally, and that can be increased with higher crit attack dmg.
The big question is how often +122 Crit rate will make you crit, like Turtle already mentioned.
So if your normal crit rate is 10% and adding +122 increases your rate to 35-40% so that every 3rd attack lands for a crit, then in that case the crit build would not only out dps at STR & ATK build, it would also make for a decent tank build with all those crits giving HP back while under Rampage effect.
And yes, the "/" means or. No Darklight armor is meldable, so I'm giving the option of that or a multi melded Savage Might Materia on your choice of body armor.
edit: recently found out it takes +30 crit rate to equal 1%

Usually on parse I average about 20-22% crit rate on WAR during Antling fight. (Mainly DPS on princess). This however could give a misleading number being that the solider ants are much lower rank, and probably have a much lower DLVL.
(Using only AF Legs/Head to give +crit rate)
Lowest you can crit is 115% normal damage, highest you can crit is 175% normal damage. Thundaga can break 175% though, but for 58+ (assumed boss level monsters) monsters you need 55+ crit potency/atk power to start criting for more then 115%.

Those percents are showing total crit damage, not additional.Lowest you can crit is 115% normal damage, highest you can crit is 175% normal damage. I'll take his research and correct my rough estimation of 50-100% additional crit damage to his 15-75% additional crit damage. And although he did not test MRD/WAR I will assume the results would fall in that same range.
However, seeing that Thundaga breaks the crit limit, it may be possible that Steel Cyclone and/or Godsbane may do the same.
He once died and returned to his homepoint, just to know what it felt like.
Your high crit rate is because you are using Steel Cyclone over and over, which has increases crit rate.Usually on parse I average about 20-22% crit rate on WAR during Antling fight. (Mainly DPS on princess). This however could give a misleading number being that the solider ants are much lower rank, and probably have a much lower DLVL.

So instead of gathering a bunch of crit rate gear, you could just use Steel Cyclone and Godsbane to crit as much as possible.
As oppose to the 20 other weapon skills WAR has, right?
I understand that, but when you're hitting 10+ mobs that are 20 levels lower than the NM you're trying to "parse" it can give a misleading crit rate / total dmg.
